Hello, In Texas also, I bought the IGEN10500 version of this one about a year ago and I was able to run my 4 ton AC (without softstart), lights and TV in my house without issue and this was running on propane. If I had to purchase again I would purchase the IGEN11500 simple because the it has less that 5% total harmonic distortion, cleaner power. Why the biggest version has cleaner power I have no idea, but that what the web site spec say. May consider the IGEN11500. I know its a little more expensive and don't for get Lowes and Home Depot offer 10% off to Vets' if you are one as I am.

@@kevinr5187 in hindsight, I wish I would have waiting for the availability of the 10500 or 11500. I know it would have given a much better “buffer”, especially when running large 240v appliances. Thanks for watching and thank you for the input!

HUGE recommendations to consider would be PROPER Break-In oil and installing dual magnetic oil drain plugs and a magnetic oil dipstick. You will and SHOULD get YEARS of service out of it by these three simple upgrades and for under $100.00 add incredible longevity to your machine by this simple mechanical upgrade. No compressor I own gets less and only wished we had these over the last 40 years, probably could have saved more motors!

Hi, Im a lady here do you know if we have to add this before first use or can we install even after we have already used it?
@TexasPatriotOffRoadAndOutdoorsКүн бұрын
@@lg3476 The “break-in” oil is used upon initial start-up and run time during the break-in procedure. However, the supplied oil should be more than sufficient, so long as you follow break-in procedures. The magnetic drain plug and dipstick can be added at any point during the life of your machine. Obviously, the sooner either or both are installed, the better the benefit. Thanks for watching and good luck!

Unfortunately it's still a high 25% THD on the output. The Wgen11500tfc at $1499 is 5% and a tri fuel. It should be fine for many things but appliances with their newer circuit boards, HVAC systems with control boards, smart thermostats (some), cpap and medical stuff, etc., could most likely have issues with it. Some lights flicker too....especially cheap LED's. Lesser expensive generators are nice for some things....but...I wouldn't trust one on my $450k house. I have a pair of inverter generators where I can run one for 5500 watts or two for 11,000 watts when needed and it's >3% THD
