Thank you for this review. You are the first on the KZbin. Could you make a direct comparison of old and new figures of Paul, Raban and Stilgar?

Good idea! I will definitely do that this week!! Thank you for the suggestion!!

Aw man, you're really letting a lot of utility pass you by where these figures are concerned. Getting Rabban to articulate at the waist and torso is as simple as heating up the figure until the plastic is pliable and THEN breaking the various joints loose. This will also prevent broken joints, although McFarlane figures are probably the least likely of all figures to break. The same goes for fitting the rocket launcher in the hand - warm up the hand a little, insert handle, squeeze figures tight until it cools and wha-la. I prefer to soak all new figures in a plastic container full of scolding hot water for one minute, then freeing up all points of articulation. A blow dryer works too, but is better for small areas. By the way thanks for reviewing these, I've been curious about them.

Thank you for the great info! Although now, after seeing the movie, I am suspecting that the “rocket launchers” are actually lasguns… I seem to recall seeing those in the movie as weapons of the same size as the RPGs but with that cloth wrapped around them as camouflage

@@allthingsnerd.4484 the technology in the movie was awesome.

Damn I might actually buy these just so I can have the full display. Dune Part Two is honestly my favourite movie of all time, and these would be an awesome way of showing that. Thanks man.

If you edited out cutting the figures out of the boxes it would go from a 40+ min video to 15 tops 😂.

Yeah, I’ve learned a lot more about editing since I made this video.😆🤣

Thanks so much for this! Is it REALLY that hard to make a Duke Leto figure? We get a Raban which looks to be the same mold as the build a figure but Oscar Isaac is too difficult to sculpt?
@allthingsnerd.4484 Жыл бұрын
I am still going to do the video comparing the figures that repeat in both series (Paul, Rabban, Stilgar), but spoiler alert…. Rabban is the EXACT same mold. I’m a little bummed out by that, but since he comes in a two pack with Gurney, who we didn’t get in series one, it’s not the end of the world. If he was a stand alone figure though, I’d be mad.
@dikballistik Жыл бұрын
@@allthingsnerd.4484 I'm still mad I have to pay $20 for a character I already spent $100 give or take to build. It's like Gurney is being held hostage by the higher price tag. In a better world he'd be standalone and the emperor and Irulan would be a two pack

Are these the same scale as the Action Figures for the 80's Lynch Film?
@allthingsnerd.448410 ай бұрын
No, the old LJN figures were 1:12 scale which is around 5-6 inches. These are 7+ inches. Close, but the McFarlanes are bigger. Also, to compare, the ReAction versions of the 1984 Dune figures are 3.75 inches (same as Kenner Star Wars figures).

Can you remove cape from Paul?
@allthingsnerd.44847 ай бұрын
Yes you can! His head can be popped off and the cape and robe can be removed.
@thoranacostia54576 ай бұрын
It's unfortunate the Dave B. Figure has limited articulation.
@allthingsnerd.44846 ай бұрын
Agreed 100%! But that tends to often be the case with “build-a-figs”.

Are the nose plugs glued in?
@allthingsnerd.4484 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, they seem to be. On the robed Paul, it even seems to be sculpted on the head. On Chani and Shishakli, the cable is not part of the head, but the plug seems glued in. I didn’t try too hard to pull it loose as it seemed pretty secure.

Why have they gone back 10 years with the face details.. Paul looks like a 2011 figure with how his face is painted
@allthingsnerd.44847 ай бұрын
It’s not the worst sculpt I have ever seen. It’s definitely recognizable, but yeah… the detail leaves a bit to be desired

Sorry friend but i dont like your review.. it seems you only want to take out of the boxes, see the cape and NEXT! In your review i cant see the figures, i cant see the face of any character, the sculpt, the articulations, because you dont stop the figure in front of the camera. I only see the capes and the back of Feyd Rautha I hope my comment can help you 🙏🏻❤
@allthingsnerd.44846 ай бұрын
I appreciate the constructive criticism. I was trying to show them all in a reasonable amount of time, but I definitely want to make sure to show everything clearly. I will keep your comments in mind when I do another figure unboxing. Thanks for watching and I hope you come back for any future unboxings that interest you!
