I just bought an hks bov but was doing some research online and alot of people are bumming me out with all this debate on how atmospheric bov's with make your subie run rich and cause damage to your engine down the line because its not recirculating like the stock bypass valve, I just want cool turbo noises without hurting my engine :( now I'm on the fence on installing my bov

Although its 3years ago,i run a 425 whp jdm ej207 v7 (spec c type ra)engine in my blobeye,i have the hks on it since 2014 never ever had a single problem with the engine neither did the hks sqv caused any problem. They are great,and buy a Genuine one! Many ride with knock offs and dont know it,these Will leak and that is the problem many face and cause. I hope you got the Answer you hoped.

Hey, got an 03' blobeye STI, watched your video and installed it just the way you did but when I took it for a drive afterwards, soon as my turbo started spooling up, it would just flutter and I'd have no power. Just wondering if the same happened for you or if you know any fix on it.

Must have a boost leak somewhere, first check the recirculating tube that goes back to the turbo inlet to see if it’s filled blocked off, also make sure all your boost lines are connected and not leaking anywhere as well

@@ShadowSTI Thing is, as soon as I went back to the OEM vavle, the problem went away. When I did have the BOV installed and I was having the issues, the recirculating hose was plugged like you did, but with the OEM, the hose was connected.

1. Check that your gasket behind the bov is installed 2. Make sure the bolts on the bov are tighten down 3. Re check the plug is properly is installed on the hose that connect to the oem bov, if none of these work you either have boost leak or defected bov

You’ll have to add switch out the end for the coupler and then have to add more hose to the recirculating hose to go back to the intake

I’ve installed this on my 07 sti and I’m having idle problems or going to neutral while stopping jumping idle , car stalling because of jumping idle . Have you had any of these problems .

No I haven’t got this problem, there my be a boost leak on the bov connection or the boost line going to the bov, that’s what I would look into
