Many thanks for the video. Had it not been for this videos I would've thought this bike rack was not compatible with my 2 Door 2006 Honda Civic. I know this video is old but fuck everyone with negative comments. I think some people forget that beggers cannot be choosers sometimes.

Use a bungee, or excess strapping material to tie the front wheel to the frame of the bike. Thats what I do...

...it will hold the wheel/tire straight and not in constant contact with the vehicle

So I got the exact same rack model etc and only have 4 straps. Only lists 4 straps on the box. Am I missing something?

So the front wheel is moving freely. How do we secure it?

I usually use a rope and tie it from to wheel to the bottom frame and tie it as tight as possible and the steering will not move at all

Ed Piatek I don't think it is done right in the video. It's optional on how to use it based on the shape of your trunk or hatch back. It is supposed to be used on the trunk deck *under* the other bar, or if you don't want to use it, the clip holds it to the bar that goes down the back of the trunk so it doesn't flop around. Try both ways and see which geometry works with your car better. In the video, it's resting on top unsecured- it isn't meant to be used like that.
