I did not know there was a "solo" style stove this small. I definitely might have to get one for the portability. It seems like it would be great for paddle camping!

Highly recommend if you're looking for something affordable and lightweight! Wouldn't consider it a real option for any serious backpacking, but anything else for a few days would be perfect! Also I could be wrong, but I believe the solo brand actually have one that may be smaller than this one!

Have you tried the Zip firestarter cubes? They are amazing. Just light the wrapper and the burn like 15min +.

Would this work for a small camp fire if you have to sit under a canopy due to rain?

Great question! And the answer is yes! I actually did just that last weekend on a camping trip with friends! Just important to note that you probably want to get the fire rolling just outside of the canopy if you can as the smokeless effect does take a bit to happen!
