Great points on arrma's marketing, make sense. I purchased the original nero, which I only run on 7200 70c 6s and it's a monster. for anyone interested, a wheelie bar is a MUST! turns out this heavy monster will slide for days on its body, ha. once again great video!

Great video Vas, there's also the financial side of things too. Arrma have obviously invested heavily in the Nero chassis etc, spreading the tech over 3 models helps to recoup investment by appealing to different niches. Can't knock them for doing this as Traxxas have been doing it for years!! Your thoughts and comments are always a top way to start my day here in the UK. Take care fella.

If I had a choice, I'd get the Fazon. It looks the best to me and where I live, there really isn't a lot of rough terrain to run on so the setup would be more optimal for me.

Kraton handles way better than both and also cheaper, Nero has issues and can't out jump \ bash a Kraton, The Fazon needs Flat ground and cant take a bash AT ALL....Owning them this is just my opinion.

You're right, my fazon breaks a lot and I don't even bash it, it's like it's parts can't handle the weight and power of the rc, I end up getting in more run ttime with my kraton and outcast.

Is the body also painted from the inside? I think if not, they should paint the inside of the body a lighter color of grey, that way when the body does scratch, it gives it a more worn in look, and not just a clear spot.

Bad Karma .....agreed I scratched mine a little just putting the clips on for the first time and it was brand new ...:( so you could see right through it ...maybe this is to boost sales of the clear body's..hmmm food for thought

Hey dude just wondering if you've done a washing / maintenance video. If not I'd like to see how you wash you Typhon after a day on the BMX track and you have dirt anywhere. Things to watch out for. I use a hose, air compressor and wd-40 but I've never had an RC before so I don't know if what I'm doing is right so I'd like to see how you wash your waterproof RC. Thanks.

So let me see if I got this right. The Big Rock body WILL fit on the Fazon, But the front and rear bumpers will need to be changed? Does that mean the Fazon bumpers can be swapped out with the Big Rocks? Do they just mount on or is there modifications that would need to be done? I like the Fazon body, but the Big Rock looks great to. I'm not that thrilled about the Nero body though. Great video! I look forward to more.

Kraton is better than all of them, Wasting 700+ on a Nero or Fazon is just mind numbing when you can get a Kraton for 400$ and run the same speeds and out bash both of them......Stupid stupid stupid. Awesome review as usual Aussie!

Always good information on your reviews and unboxing videos. I personally like the Nero platform with the laydown shock configuration, however it could be a bit more work to do maintenance on. I currently have 3 Arrmas and looking at the Kraton or Nero as my next vehicle but really don't need the diff brain option since I have it on my Fazon. I prefer the Blue Nero body over the Green body though??? Great vids Great Channel!

+Shawn Eckhart Lawsuit has nothing to do with current availability, it's simply a shortage of stock. There are more on the way, but it'll be a few weeks before they're available again. Plus, I think ARRMA are holding out for the release of the V2 Nero.

i absolutely love my big rock. My only real complaint about it is the body. The thickness is nice when it comes to small flips and tumbles. But the thickness is bad when it comes to heavy hits. the body doesn't have enough flex which causes the body to split. I already have a big split were the cab and bed meet on mine, and I have only had it 2 weeks. Other than that, it is one of the best rc's that I have owned.

Yes, you can do that, they have the hd parts in red for the nero actually. It will be somewhat of an expensive change though, 100 bucks just for the axles and probably another 100 for the shocks.

What about being able to control locking up the 3 differentials independently? Seems that would let you get past far larger objects if you got stuck needing to crawl showing two different types of driving. The Kraton seems like a better buggy... less monster truck like design and is a lot lighter so I would think it's a lot faster too. But sure like the locking difs on the Nero, that would be a nice upgrade for the Kraton.

John F Hendry I agree, The only other thing about the Kraton is the stock servo in the V2 is still garbage....Got a second Kraton 2 weeks ago and we put about 3 hours on it and melted the servo gears. It's a shame that everything else on the kraton is built so well.

Donny Hooks I must be the only guy on the planet without any issues with the stock servos. I've had about half a dozen of these cars and never had a servo fail me yet. In fact, I'm using one in my Slash 4x4 for over a year and still going.

Well to be fair ill explain what i did to make it happen, i may have just over estimated it's abilities to handle my crazy ass driving. I was ripping down this dried up pond behind my house, 7s at full speeds doing figure 8's, then i went straight full throttle and mashed the gas....Somehow the servo fried ' LOL ' so it is most likely user problems ;) but the old one lasted a lot longer. Still a cheap fix either way, I love my kratons.

Maybe it's my eyes but the autofocus looks like it keeps changing the focus point making things constantly go in and out of focus which is distracting. Maybe try fixed focus and keep objects more or less the same distance away from camera.

I'm a basher I have one of these. The tires are crap they are way too hard, body shell cracks easy cause the truck is so heavy, battery tray's pop open all the time and change out the grub screws right away cause they shear off. Other then that the truck sucks cause it's $800 and is NOT a good basher! If you wanna see for yourself check out my channel. Great video Vas.

Hobao's are tough as boots (unless your Vasco with the MT lol) or Arrma seem pretty good all depends on what style of driving you want to do, most RC's are built with break points incase of a bad landing/crash they are designed to fail first so to not cause more damage to the rest of the RC.. Truggies I find are the best all rounder MT's for Bashing, Buggies are like F1 offroaders fast quick but you need to be accurate.. SCT are fun too horses for courses etc ``o=o¬
