You still never posted the damn applesauce cake recipe for us from the last ones she sent 😂❤ You are such a tease!! But so, I ended up trying to figure it out myself and found two different recipes that sounded like they'd be right so I just took the best/easiest steps from each and combined them. I didn't add the golden raisins, but I'll try it next time when I make it again. All I gotta say though is *_BITCHHHH_* it was literally Christmas in my mouth! I made it in a bigger pan not like a bread loaf pan but like one of those bigger casserole dishes, and then I cut it up into smaller individual bars like a Little Debbie sized snack cake and omggggggggggg I need to make more. I also had a jar of apple butter that I used to frost it on top. Def recommend. If anyone wants my Frankenstein of a recipe, let me know and I'll put it in my comments, but I know we're all holding out for the OG one 😂❤

Omg I want to go make another right now lol!! 💓💋💓 Willam's Mom's Bootleg Applesauce Cake Dry Ingredients 2 cups all purpose flour 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 1 tablespoon baking cocoa 2 tablespoons cinnamon 1 teaspoon allspice 1 teaspoon nutmeg 1 teaspoon ground cloves (Extras: golden raisins, chopped walnuts, chopped pecans, cranberries, etc. Whatever you like! I didn't add anything extra to my first batch, but I definitely want to try playing around with it next time!) Wet Ingredients 2 cups applesauce 2 eggs 1 cup vegetable oil 1 teaspoon vanilla (If you have it on hand, add a big dollop of apple butter) Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13 inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Combine all Dry Ingredients in a large bowl with a nonstick spatula. Each measurement doesn't have to be perfect. I used pretty big scoops of everything. Just make sure each time you add a new ingredient to the bowl you give it a good stir. After combining the Dry Ingredients, repeat the same process for the Wet Ingredients, making sure you fully combine each ingredient before moving on. You could use a fork to give the eggs a quick whisk to make sure they're broken up. Once everything has been added, gently fold the batter a few more times with your spatula. Now would be the time to fold in any extras such as golden raisins, chopped walnuts, cranberries, etc. Fold them in before you pour the batter into the pan, but be sure to set aside a handful or two of whatever you picked. Once you've transferred the batter to the baking pan, sprinkle whatever extras you set aside on top. Make sure every section gets a little somethin somethin! Spread batter evenly in pan, gently tap pan on hard surface to help. Bake for 30-40 minutes. You'll know yours is ready when you insert a fork in the center of the cake and it comes out clean. A few crumbs are fine, but you don't want it to still be wet. Place on cooling rack. Once no longer hot to the touch, you can frost this with a cream cheese frosting, powdered sugar, apple butter, or you can leave it plain! I cut mine into 16 thin bars, but you can cut yours into bigger squares like you would with brownies! I chose to frost mine with apple butter, and it was amazing!! Sprinkle a little cinnamon and sugar on top or add some whipped cream. DELISH!! But there's tons of options you can try, don't feel like what I suggested are the only things that'll work!! Like you could even add a big scoop of ice cream on top like YUMMM. Go crazy mama!!
