Hey there great vid. I know this is over 10years old but how much was the special edition when it came out? I am looking to buy 1 that is sealed for about $70 US currency. Just trying to see if thats a good deal or not.

No recollection what it cost new, but I'd say at least a hundred. But that doesn't really have anything to do with todays prices. This was surprisingly cheap some years back, but I think it has risen in value a bit. I don't think $70 for a sealed copy is too much, go for it if you feel like it. :)

It's the European version. Sometimes it comes packaged differently than the American version.

It's a really kick ass Collector's edition. I wasn't sure if the soundtrack was a real LP but now you gave a reason to buy it. Great Unboxing. You should do more often.

Indeed, it cost about 15 euros or 20 dollars more than the normal game, but will retain that value as it's a collectable. Whereas the normal version will lose 2/3 of it's price soon. What a waste, I know.

Your unboxing turned out much nicer than mine. Also in the US our box is a little different. Yours is like a box on the out side while ours is like a sleve.

I don't mind about the room they take, but it's really awkward that they are all different sizes. Really hard to display properly.

Just got this for 20€ with everytinhg inside sealed and sold the game (just the regular game) for 20€!

They are all part of the set, and if you've opened the box you can open the posters without affecting the price, I think. Hard to know which collector's editions will be true collectables in the future. This is definetly not as common as the usual steelbook editions so I'd hang on to this one.

Nice video! I was thinking of doing an unboxing for this as well, but I think you got it down pat. :) We have the same contents in the US, but the presentation is slightly different. Ours has a flimsy slip cover instead of a graphic box, but our posters are nicely bound by ribbon. Can't wait to dig back into Rapture!

Vaikken vinyyleistä perustakaan, niin pakko tällasia bokseja on silti vähän arvostaakin. Eritoten kun seasta löytyy vielä ihan CD:tä, art bookkia ja julisteita. At 5:16 you can see some letters in the left side of the poster, if you put the posters under UV light\ black light, you will see some mensages that you almost can't see under natural light.

I bought just the game even though the collector's edition was cheaper. It's just uninteresting stuff and it takes up needed storage space for my games.

Not a very wise way of displaying all the stuff at the end, slapping down the book on top of the uncovered vinyl LP! Otherwise great unboxing. I notice the European edition differs from the US one. The US outer slip case is not flapped over, the Bioshock 2 logo is on the display box underneath the butterfly too. Also the inner box is grey and the posters have a ring around them instead of being shrinkwrapped with an outer sheath,

I was back and forth about getting the collectors edition, but at the end of the day i got the regular one as the collectors edition cost almost twice as much. Figured i could put that money into a Saturn import title. ;) But overall it's a good game, not as good as the masterpiece that is Bioshock 1. But still one damn sweet game.

This special edition is practically free today. Here in sweden it is about 20 dollars, which is cheap especially becuse the new games cost 85-90 dollars here and this special edition was 140-150 dollars when it first was released. I recommend everyone to buy it becuse the game is awsome.

@RetreersTCG ya dude i got the game the first week ot came out and beat it, but just now with the special edition proce drop i bought it and man was it worth it. They are going really fast so i recommend getting one

I just ordered this the other day, might take a while due to the recent poor UK weather causing a backlog. I might try and find a frame big enough for all 3 posters in a row, better than damaging them with blu-tack etc.

@finngamer actually @yurt101 he is 100% correct, i use this to take very annoying stickers of of things before resell, including the annoying ones they do not want removed without a VOID. hairdryer works wonders!

I have this version of Bioshock 2, and back in the day I got it for 20€. Because Bioshock 2 did not receive very good corporate reviews, so it went bargain bin very quickly.

Honestly, the Bioshock Infinite special editions are kind of letdown compared to this. Every special edition item for Bioshock 2 is so much bigger.
