Unboxing - Byredo fragrances (Bal d'Afrique & Rose of No Man's Land)

Today I'm unboxing 2 great Byredo fragrances that I've just received : Bal d'Afrique and Rose of No Man's Land.

I have Bal D’afrique in 100 ml and a 10 ml Rose of no mans from the NM advent calendar. The rose is growing on me.

@@OlfactiveStories oh no! For me it was really authentic and that made it exciting and enjoyable to watch. You don't get that authenticity these days when you watch reviews on youtube so this was definitely nice to see. I got a sample of Bal d'Afrique at the mal the other day.... omg.. this is the most unique, alluring, beautiful and lovely perfume I have ever smelt. Looking forward to getting a bottle

Byredo unboxings are so satisfying because of the stickers on the side, and any time there is a magnetic cap, I'm mesmerized. 😂 I think the only other scents that I really want from Byredo are Sellier and Casablanca Lily. But too expensive! Oh gosh, my wallet needs a "perfume money" spot. 😓😅

Rose of No Man's Land is one of my favourite Byredo scents! Love it!!! The other favs are: Gypsy Water, Rose Noir and Mojave Ghost. And I'm waiting for a partial bottle of Velvet Haze ;) I'm sorry about the fake :(

I have Oud Immortel and the body spray of Bal d'Afrique. I do like the 11th hour> I would love for you to do an upload of your fake purchase . We no longer have Notino here in the states.

I love Bal d’Afrique . I didn’t like it at first though. I bought it in Paris and then I found it too strong but the notes are beautiful so I just wear a small amount.

I really like this fragrance but I can only wear it from time to time, not 2 days in a row. I don't know why ^^ But indeed this is a great fragrance ;)

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear about the fake perfume purchase. 😥 That must have been frustrating. I haven't tried bal d'afrique yet. Rose of No Man's Land is very pretty, but smells better on others than on my skin chemistry 😔

Yes, always need to be careful. Even being extra careful, I feel like the counterfeits are getting better and better. This is not the first time but usually I'm able to spot it quickly.

2 favs that I've tried from Byredo. Rose a bit too feminine for me, or at least there are better options for me with rose. Bal D'Afrique is special though, just wish it performed better...but it's on the wishlist for sure

I understand what you mean. Rose of no man's land is a bit fruity so it tends to be more feminine. But Bal d'Afrique is totally unisex to me. Performance for both is correct on my skin.

I thought that Bal D'Afrique lasted really quite long on me! Almost too long, since I like to change scents during the day. Definitely give it another try! 👍

This is two years later...curious your thoughts on these fragrances now? I have 100 ml bottle of dal d’afrique on the way and have a sample of rose of no man’s land.

2 years later, I still have these fragrances in my collection. And the one that I wore the most was Bal d'Afrique. Definitely more unique than Rose of no man's land. As I have many rose fragrances in my collection, I tend to wear this one less now. I hope it helps ^^

Have not tried Rose of No Man's Land, I'm intrigued but probably don't need another rose fragrance. 🤣 Mojave Ghost was okay ish. . Lol. Fell a bit flat on my skin. Those boxes aren't easy to open, I spent ages working where to unseal the box. Lol

Did you get a fake fragrance from notino?

No, Notino is not selling fake fragrances as far as I know ! Never had issues with them. The fake one was coming from Vinted.

Olfactive Stories Ahh ok, you weren't very clear about that where did 1st came from. It sounded that you got both from Notino. Was worried because I always had good experience witg Notino when they were selling in USA.

@@valerieb2813 No, no problem with Notino. 😊 The problem is when you buy from resellers on eBay, Vinted etc. I'm preparing a dedicated video on how to buy online and spot fake fragrances. I have some examples and comparisons to show 😉
