I dont look too much into Folio but i should. This looks nice

Their standard editions are a lot cheaper to buy and are still really nice clothbound editions.

You had a busy sale. That's a volume worthy of Bond.

I’m still waiting for the 14th book to be published. When ???

You and me both! I'm hoping it'll be in the winter collection this year, but we'll see. It might not help that artist Fay Dalton had a bit of controversy recently after tracing/using another artist's work.

Great review! I just discovered what folio society is the other day, and saw this and immediately want it, but have to wait for a sale😂

It might be offered on sale again closer to the holidays. :-)

I hate that Folio doesn't tip in the signatures.

Agreed!

Ooooo, sounds like you got The Waste Land in the sale too?

Yep!

Is that large white blotch on James Bond‘s face on the left paper of the traycase a wear blemish, or intentional by the artist?
@Splync_TooManyBooks8 ай бұрын
Intentional. It's supposed to be cigarette smoke, but it doesn't look great on camera.
@elliotwalton61598 ай бұрын
I disagree. Bond's character in the novels is not the character in the films. The novels have aged far better than the films and Bond's character is far more complex and nuanced. How is the Spy Who Loved Me exploitive in any way?

It is a beautiful edition, however, even when it was on sale it was around AUD$600.00-$700.00. I am not going to spend that sort of money on a modern publication.

Oof, that's still a rough price. Their AUD conversations are even more ruthless than their USD conversations.
