apple makes such nice computers. they are made to last. you can easily get 8-10 years out of an imac or mbp. just dont use keyboard covers or hardshell cases like someone else said. that damaged my first mbp i got in 2011. it lasted until 2021, probably longer if i knew better back then. 😅 i gave a thumbs up for your sound editing. your bg music isnt competing with your voice, its nice and low. great vid

Hi, i just wanted to say that i heard the screen protector overtime can hurt the screen of your macbook since it’s putting pressure on the screen especially since you also had the keyboard protector. I recommend that you look into that since it may damage your computer over time.

i second this. Apple employees actually told me not to put a case on it either unless it comes from the apple store bc it can damage the hinges and make it where when you shut the laptop your screen can crack. speaking from experience 😭 learn from my mistake pls as I'm typing from my new MacBook air that I had to buy bc I unknowingly ruined my screen from cases and screen protectors...lol

hey, I was at my sister's yesterday and she had the same macbook as yours the m1 one and had the same issue you were facing and she had the hard case on and a keyboard case on and even a camera cover on and all of that damages the macbook. I would not advice you to put a case and a keyboard cover on because it will damage it very soon, please research. You might have to upgrade it again in like 2 years also it can damage the hinge overtime or the screen might crack on its own.

Hey, I got it off Amazon, although I wouldn’t recommend it. I think it was too heavy on my MacBook’s hinges, which ended up causing the damage

Girlll I had the exact same rose gold Mac and I used mine for 4 years of college (with still 2 to go for a second degree) and I think what killed mine was all the 12 page papers, case studies I was writing and ofc the sims game…. I just got the starlight 15 inch and now I’m scared to put the sims back on it so I gotta get an external hard dive cos Idk how everyone else still using their 2017 ones religiously but I’m not ab to buy another computer after I graduate college. I gotta stretch this new one outttt😭😭

aren't macbooks supposed to last a long time?? I have an hp and it is still working itsbeen like 8 years lol. I am planning to get a macbook but i want it to atleast work 5 years, can you clarify if its durable enough?? im planning to get the same one as yours.

Mine still worked perfectly I just think the case I had on it made the screen too heavy (which cases the damage). It was a 2020 M1 people still have it and say it works fine. I know people with 2018 MacBook pros that still work. You just definitely have to take care of it and watch what cases you put on it.

@@Christinayangismymommy I know that a lot of tech KZbinrs that just preferred to use skins on their MacBooks or keep it in a microfiber case. me being clumsy and just as a fail safe I like to keep a case on mine and I also do have a sleeve I can put it in when I’m at school. It’s definitely up to each its own as long as you take care of your MacBook you should be fine.

I love mine. It’s faster than my previous one and works great with my yt and school needs. The M3 MacBook also supports Apple intelligence which is amazing
