The way they did the Aurumach is just too cool. A close second goes to the Chef Vargouille just for comedic value. I also like the tabaxi demilich and the slot machine modron.

07:16 - Surprisingly, there is no art in the book of the Tabaxi Demilich. You encounter him pretty early in the adventure, in the Mortuary, he is one of the Dustmen and is stuck writing euology poems for the dead - you need to help him come up with good rhymes. :D

Might be one of those circumstances when art was commissioned but not included in the final book for one reason or another. It's rare for WizKids to create minis when there isn't an art reference.

@@TheGallantGoblin Yes, most likely so. I was a bit disappointed that unlike a lot of recent D&D books, Planescape did not include any collection of sketches and not included art at the end, like Bigby Present: Glory of the Giants, or Rage of Demons did.

I have 2 favs , the tabaxi demilich , and the baernaloth. Both are so unique . the Baernaloth can even be used as an Ice devil/demon .

The Tabaxi Demilich is my favorite from this set I already have a Tabaxi noble and Lich from Twin Goddess miniatures so really cool to have him in in various stages of lichdom.

I gotta say, it’s hard to pick just one mini that really caught my eye but the constructs always are really cool, though that one that had detached arms was really cool. Love that sleek design and love how funny the Modron Slot Machine is. Makes me wonder how the heck they got modified for that function.

I have been waiting for this video to hit youtube! Thanks a lot! As much as Planescape is my favourite setting, and I do love all the minis, there are several factors that leave me disappointed in this set: -Terrible idea to only have 6 Large Uncommons, not to mention 2 of those are Maelephants (Shemeshka's Bodyguard is one too). There were ample choices to include some Large Demons or Devils, or creatures like the Equinal and Nonaton and Septon. -Very bad rarity choices. The around CR19 Aurumach and Baernaloth that are solitary creatures are Uncommons, and the low CR Decaton and Ettin are Rares? Same goes for the smaller minis - the Hound Archon should have been a Common, as did the Monodrone, Kolyraut a Rare (there is only 1 in existence usually). The Deva base... erm Spireball player should be a rare for such a specific mini. The Darkweaver - a solitary, powerful creature - is a common? -No Dabus, Common Mercykillers, Dustmen? No Guvners (Fraternity of Order) bigwigs in their silly hats? Several Factols appear in the adventure and have artwork, not to mention famous Sigil NPCs too. I wish we could have gotten them. -Seriously, no Lady of Pain mini at all? -The designs are all great, I want as many of the Modrons as possible. The three Demodand types are also awesome, and I have waited ages to get Guardinals and Archons again, the minis are excellent representation of the art for the most part. I am also super happy to finally get a non-Rare Tridrone! I am hopeful that either the Vecna adventure, or the 2025 sourcebooks will have more Planescape creatures that would warrant a second miniature set where these missing minis could be released... and some of the rarities fixed. I mean, as someone who wants more than one Decaton it will be a tough job locating them for a good price since they are Rare, but I will be swamped by much higher level Octons I won't need that many of.

Filmed it before vacation but didn't have time to edit it. As you can imagine, these unboxing videos take awhile to edit properly. I'll save my full set thoughts for that video, but I definitely feel you with your criticisms of the set. There are a lot of weird omissions in the set. Wouldn't mind a premium Lady of Pain mini to go along with the set. Curious if we're going to see more Planescape minis in the future, and I'm dying to get my hands on the Vecna book and set. I think it's the most excited I've been for a D&D book in awhile.

@@TheGallantGoblin Yes - if they went through the trouble of making a Characters set, why not include some actual characters in that? Only Shemeshka, Morte and Fell in that set are NPCs, the rest are generic faction members (and a Guardinal). Feels like a miss that we only have the Musteval there. I'd love to get more of that adorable mousey dude! It is possible some of the minis were cut from the set to be moved to the Vecna - Eve of Ruin set. We do know a regular (not dressed) Eater of Thought was supposed to be in the set, there is a render of it on the back of the Limited Edition set! Oh same as you, I wish I could be Todd Kenreck who in the latest WotC interview says he read the whole adventure now and is all amazed by it. The preview images show a LOT of classic characters, locations, items and creatures returning -Lord Soth, Mordenkainen, Tasha, Alustriel, Strahd, Acererak, Miska the Wolf Spider, the Rod of Seven Parts... I am considering to preorder it, I am so excited about the story and lore! And it is indeed possible the Lady of Pain will be in that book and assist you. She has a quite big beef with Vecna, for sure, given how he was the only god ever to make it into Sigil (on a technicality - he was not yet a god when he arrived).

Surprisingly for me the Aurumach was my favorite! I don't know what use I'd have for it but I love the dislocated arms from the shoulders and how it appears to be floating with the magic effect being what's keeping it up. A well done mini for sure!

Love that the vargouille has a chef’s hat and would probably make a one shot based on chef Boyardee just for it but my fav will have to be the one I think I could get the most use out of and that would be the baernaloth not even going into lore and just based on appearance it’s the stereotypical evil goat headed demon tho it is closely followed by the cranium rats could be regular rats could be part of a group that forms to be a mob boss fo a city’s criminal underground are they the escaped experiments/spies of a nearby mind flayer hive or all that at once
