The single placer that comes with the kit is for those that want to use the pen, but don't want the putty. You put it on the opposite end of the new pen. I just heard yesterday that DAC is starting to print on the back of the treasure quest cards what type of card it is. I liked this painting too, but thought the browns/grays/black would get too boring, but now that I see you unbox it, it looks a little more colorful. TFS!
