@kendrafullofjoy you know, it's funny, I'm a 41yo woman who grew up poor and never spent more than $50 on a bag or purse, even though I've been able to afford them for a while. Lately I've had a strange craving for them. I just spent ~$350 on a Kate Spade laptop bag, the first "luxury" bag I've ever bought, and I love it. I'm not a bag lady yet, I'll probably pace myself, but I hope you're enjoying yours!

Same story here! My first luxury bag was my White Elm. My second is not vegan, it's leather and smaller. It's just a smaller brand too. It's a Fossil. Sp?

@kendrafullofjoy Fossil is like Kate Spade and makes some great low-end luxury bags. My KS bag is leather, too, and I definitely prefer it to faux leather / "vegan" leather. IMO the strength of White Elm bags is their versatility (luggage straps, compartments and pockets, key rings, convertible backpacks, lots of colorways, etc.); that they're all faux leather is my one complaint about them, but I get that being "vegan" is important for some business owners. I'm sure your Fossil bag is great. Good luck in the PNW!

I just bought one of these bags. I probably shouldn't have, but it is a gift to myself after a hard year. I was looking for a bag that could hold my large drink tumbler on the side securely and all of my other stuff. The other YT video I saw made it look possible. On a personal note, we lived in Gig Harbor for a long time. I am sorry to hear of the grocery store troubles. I'll pray for safety for you always. I became a new subscriber!

@@shastalantz5028 I believe that it's a great backpack but not a great over the shoulder everyday bag for me. I'm too short to pull off such a large bag. I still have it. Never use it.

It's in the original packaging. I used it 4 or 5 times. It became too much. I thought I'd love it. If I needed a backpack, it would be perfect. Not so much as a bag. I also wish I'd spent the money on a real letter bag.
