As a Renaissance art historian this has blown me away, simply stupendous.

Oh, how amazing is that to be able to line each card up. I love this idea to connect each card as one piece of art work 💗

The Grail Tarot is truly beautiful and Giovanni Caselli brilliantly portrays the story with his magnificent art illustrations. I love this deck, and bought it several years ago. It is unique and after seeing your unboxing, prompts me to study it in depth. I don't know whether your lighting was a little bright, but my cards seem to have more detailed outlines in the clothing and faces. My book is also 2007 copyright. Enjoy it!

Thanks for the walk through, Simon. You sparked my interest and with a little more digging into the themes of this deck, I have decided to purchase it as a study deck. I have a growing interest in Gnostic Christianity and the Grail Legend. This deck also has references to alchemy and Kabbalah, both of which I incorporate into my tarot readings and study. I don't think this deck is conducive (for me) to tarot readings, but will make a fascinating study tool. I would be interested in a follow up from you and how you are using the deck!

I really enjoyed grail mythology in my Theology studies. Though I do always end up thinking about Monty Python and Lancelot and Galahad... it looks like a beautiful book.

I can just picture the entire deck lined up on the floor as one continuous storyline tapestry which was so popular in those days. I’m crazy about jigsaws, and this really intrigues me.

What beautiful cards Simon. I love how the cards form a beautiful mosaic with such colourful scenes. I think this may have to go onto my wish list 😁 Thank you for sharing this Simon xx

The color and beautiful artwork and the panoramic effect are quite appealing. I really like this! I hope other deck creators will pick up and run with this idea of puzzling together a continuous mural! It would be interesting to see if somebody could come up with a deck such that regardless of shuffling, all the cards would still link up in their own connective tissue of countless new stories.

Absolutely amazing continuous artwork. John Matthews & this world is my favourite thing - this deck is on it's way to me because I believe it was rereleased (I had never seen it before) I don't imagine I will be reading with it, just immersing myself in the art & the book and everything =) Thank you for the wonderful sneak peek Simon xx

Omg!! This deck is wonderful, I didn’t realise that the cards joined to make a picture! I could sit looking at those scenes all day 😍 I have a Knights Templar Tarot (indie) as I love the artwork and for some reason the Knights Templar have always fascinated me. I think this one could be great to have alongside the one I already have 😊 the only thing is, I am not sure if it would be too Christian for me personally, to work with. I do love the artwork and the book looks really good too. Also, when you were trying to put together those first Courts I was saying “that one goes there” etc. Like you could hear me 🤣 thank you so much for showing this 😍❤️

This looks like a great tool for learning about the grail mythology. I'd be tempted to just lay out the cards, look at them and read the book. I mean, if you pull one card, would you not have to look what the next one shows? And the next one? And so on...😄

It’s £43 on Amazon UK Simon so it is still around. To me it looks like this deck is maybe in short supply. It looks like other sites source it from abroad. Amazon list it for £24-42 from other sellers but if I go to the other sites it’s £43 and 4 days delivery which seems pricey for this deck.

I saw this in a thrift shop today. They are looking for €25 for it. I asked if I could look through it first. One of the cards was a bit snaggered & creased at the botton...I found the cardstock felt awfull cheap good cardstock has a satisfying " heft " to it. This felt very light / cheap, rough edged and not nice. I love the artwork, but seems wasted on that card.
@hArtyTruffle7 ай бұрын
The artwork is amazing. I haven’t purchased this deck yet. I might not purchase it in future, only because the card stock doesn’t seem like it’s good quality to me… Getting my head around the many others I have already anyway. As I said before, I absolutely love the artwork however, and how they link to each other as geographic spaces telling the stories of the hero’s journey ✨🫶🏻✨
