I've flown mine since they first came out - fabulous plane. I changed the look to match the one Lothar Von Richthofen flew. I also changed the flyscreen on the front to a much larger opening size (1/4" screen) and that helped a lot. Mine flies on an Admiral 60cc equivalent motor, 12s with 150 Amp ESC using a 24x10 Falcon prop. After a few flights I changed out the skid for a tailwheel and it works much better. Very nice flier with a flight stabilizer that comes in handy on windy days. The fact that each pair of upper and lower wings can remain attached while sliding them onto the center section and the fuse is a game changer at the field. Eight minutes to assemble the plane. Fabulous. Hats off to Eli Machninchy on this one.

Try an acrylic coat of AK Ultra Matte Varnish...the best true matte finish on the market for models

yes i would recover it with Orcacover. Yes i know, extra work and you want to fly it, but at to take the extra time by recovering it, you will enjoy flying it even more

Such a nice covering product. I have two Phonix ARFs 46-55 size Spitfire and older Strega Mustang. I had the 46-55 size Corsair for a few seasons, CRASH. The covering was fantastic on all three of them out the box, essentially no ironing necessary. Was impressed, my next two kit builds were both done with Ultracote (American name for Oracover), I'll never use Monokote again. The only thing you have to watch, at the upper end of the heat range shrinkage is noticeable on different colored overlaps as the edge will slide back and leave the colored adhesive on the lighter color. Easy fix, and is really a just side product of how well this covering can be shrunk, wraps around compound curves incredibly well. Fantastic product.
