Time to get a little speed crazy. Well, sort of... I want a nice road car that will handle well and can be modified to be very fast for speed runs. Not really chasing a "top speed figure" but I would like to have something that is quick and impressive. Enter the HoBao Hyper VT Road Car. This car is beautiful and looks as though it has the basis to be a real speed demon on the straight, so lets put it to the test...

Nice score. Similar to my Hobao Hyper GTBe only with the shorter 330mm chassis. Tyre's grip well but do balloon at speed. You'll need the OFNA hub extenders to fit the GRP's but the Sweep 84mm inner diameter GT belted tyres/wheels fit straight on and work well. Watch the centre driveshafts have bent a few.

hobao really making alot goodies lately, I owns a Hyper ST Prokit which I convert it into EP running on 4s..... the truck is absolute brutal n simple durable, so far I broke nothing except a rear right wheel hub which occured during a very high speed jump n the truck was in the air more than 10feets n landed badly sideways..... there is NOTHING bent, nothing at all.....

I do not have the pictures in front of me, but isn't it like ( or the same car ) as the Idea DM1 I think it was called? If so, you should be in great shape with this car, since the DM1 was the go to speedrun chassis a couple of years back. If I am correct Jang from URC had a build video series in that one? I believe the VS and VT share the same platform, on the HoBoa website also refereed to as LX-3 that the LX was a Hong Nor platform not sure if they share any components. The VT does share a lot of components with my Hyper GT, that I can say I'm happy with other than the lack of spring options for the shocks. Hopefully with the release of this model they will release some OP options for some firmer springs. And yes this car can go fast my Hyper GT has reached 112mph American with OP part 0069 and so gearing modifications.

Yea, your definitively gonna need some heavier weight shock fluid to dampen that bounce. My shocks where only half full when I got my car lol.. Also diffs need fluid I did mine to Mugen MGT7 specs since HoBao didn't have any for the GT. It just came with grease. Like said the springs are horrible even if you plan on running 6s expect a bunch of chassis slap even with the preload maxxed out.

Hi Vas, Try the hobbywing max6 1/6 scale or the max5 5th scale esc the I know the max6 is 8S and get a Poseidon P1527-B15 motor if you really want a speedster.....😉 You might have to make a custom motor mount but that isn't that big of a deal any local machine shop can do it fairly easy.

Umm.. hate to spoil the .."this body should last me a good long while" ..moment, but.. you will put it on its lid during a speed run, a small rock, a little to much wheel input, a cross breeze .. something will make it blow over , but hey, that's part of the fun :)

I got the 150amp version With the wp-8bl150. I got a new remote a turnigy gt5 and the esc is not letting me program it to the remote. Steering works but when I program it for the throttle it will not take the program.

the ackerman bracket hurts a little though just a metal rod piece and rout the antenna wire the other way around away froim the gearing
