The Tesla Model S Plaid is named after a speed in the 1987 movie Spaceballs, a parody of Star Wars. In the movie, the characters are chased through hyperspace by Dark Helmet and his empire, and the chase goes from light speed to ludicrous speed, and then to plaid speed. It's not "Played", it's "Plad" :) Happy to help

I was telling everyone how I'm going to skip N and order P case instead, and here you have it. very loaded case and right away my favorite is "Dia de Muertos" T.H. . This case has some amazing looking recolors. My Top 10. 1. '59 Chevy Impala Gorgeous. It will go great with 2022's "58 Impala T.H.. Love that design. I wish they made a 10 car set of it. 2. Aston Martin Muscle Car I see that car exists in real life, and Hot Wheels has now made it my favorite Aston Martin ever. And it is ZAMAC. Just so you all know, I will be hoarding these. 3. Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo Welcome back and I hope to find the STH. 4. Mailed It! One of my favorites of the year. Perfect recolor for it. 5. Honda S800 That's a nice looking classic race car. Reminds me of the Faiirlady 2000 which I love. 6. Gordon Murray's Automotive T50's Never heard of it, but I want one. 7. Toyota Supra Metaflake Green with gold wheels looks so classy. 8. Birthday Burner/Desert Drifter Combing these two just like on B-Day Party. Love the Pink Cake and yellow Yell-o 9. '95 Mazda RX-7 Loving it in that Kandy blue. 10. Rink Racer Love the metallic greens in this case. Honorable mentions: The Arkham Knight Batmobile looks stunning in that shade of blue. Nice recolers on 68 Mercury Cougar Eliminator,McLaren P1, '17 Ford GT, Dodge Viper SRT ACR, Speed Bump, Mo-Stash, Tred Shredder, Nissan 35-GT, HW Roll cage used to have a spare tire in the back. Beautiful green, but looks funny without the tire. Rollin' Solo looks very eye catching.

Wow. There’s some really good stuff in there. I’m ready personally for the Mazda tooned fast and furious car. That’s one of my favorite cars . But Now they “tooned” it. And , yes. Wow!!!! What a high light for me ! This new Aston Martin DB4 High Speed ! For me, this is a very exciting, powerful and realistic casting, my highlight at the end of 2024, as we can only await the last box Q within the next months, I didn‘t know that Mattel has such a jewel for us !. There4 I‘ll be on the hunt for this Aston Martin, the green Ford GT Race, the RTH Chevy Impala, the recolor of the Mostash, the yellow Chevy Chevelle, the King Cuda, and of course the recolor of the Hirohata Merc and the 49 Drag Merc from the previous cases. Thanks for this video. Plaid (pronounced plad) is a criss-cross pattern, like Scottish tartan, that you see in clothes, bedding, etc.

To further expand on that, Tesla uses "Plaid" as a reference to the movie Space Balls, which was a parody of the original Star Wars movie. In Star Wars, when the ships would hit full speed (I can't remember if they called it Warp Speed or what in that movie), the pilots would see the stars rushing past them as lines of light. Space Balls made fun of that in a scene where a character said, "he's gone plaid!", because they were going so fast that the stars weren't simple stripes of light but appeared like plaid. I believe that plaid design ,as seen in Space Balls, appears on the Tesla's interior screen when you're in plaid mode with the accelerator to the floor. If you haven't seen Space Balls, I highly recommend it, it's a comedy classic.

Hi Muazli ! Today I found for the 1st time in our city the 49 Drag Mercury, the Hirohata Merc ( 2nd color ), the Red and white 68 Dodge Dart, the Red Rockin Railer and the Green Max Steel. I am very happy about that, these cars will be included in my collection of US classics, Hot Rods and Street Rods, lowriders, Dragster and Chopper Bikes like the Mod Rod, 64 Lincoln Continental, Stagefright,the Layin Lowrider and many more of these. That means the M case has arrived, but some shops have case A for sale…..(!). Good luck for all collectors that they will find the cars they are looking for !

Beautiful box love some of the new castings that just came out. Some of the recolors are pretty nice. The super treasure flashback you're having is probably from the Halloween set. The Tesla plaid is one of their fastest Teslas the thing beat supercars.

Actually it was just last year that we had Cloak And Dagger in Dia de Muertos in the Art Cars. In 2022 we had the '58 Impala in same design and it was a treasure hunt. Then in 2021 we had Rigor Motor in the same Dia de Muertos livery. For some reason they skipped 2020, but in 2019 N case was that green Riviera you speak of. In between it all we had a whole Halloween set dedicated to "Dia de Muertos". As you can tell that is my favorite design for a Holiday car.
