Unboxing Imomo Doll

So the story says that after many years me and my friends started a new DnD game. To celebrate this I thought that a new doll representing my character would be much more interesting than a painted mini.
And this is how I got my hands on my first Imomo Doll in 1/4th scale.
I opted for two heads, Miko and Ruby yet I think Ruby works perfectly with my tiefling character.
I imagined a chubby dark skinned creature with white hear, teal eyes, pointy ears and cute tiny fangs. Her name is Sidrah Fierna.

i was thinknig of getting one but do they feel cheap? I only ever had resin dolls before and im wondering if this doll is worth getting? People keep saying its not good but idk

I would say yes, they do feel cheap. The frame drives me crazy because not always has the proper length for the elements, dose not stay in place and you have to adjust it manually. And if you cut too much....you're screwed. Since the frame is so basic, the vinyl does not fit properly, looks like beads on a string. There is nothing inside to give it that fuller look and heaviness we would like. For me is more like an action figure or a display doll. Looks beautiful, you have to pose it once a year. If you would like a more durable MJD, well done but on the affordable side, try TinyFox dolls. The're waaaay better and they come with faceups 😉 Oh Imomo has also a resin line, I never had the opportunity to touch one but those look very cute and I bet, they are as good as any bjd. I think their vinyl line is the very affordable one and made as such. Personally, I got them out of curiosity and because I love their aesthetics. The girl body with wide hips and that beautiful tan skin, cute heads with so many options are very cute. But I will stick with those 2 I have and I would prefer to look more into TinyFox, Azone, Angelphilia, Volks.

I found it very difficult to hold the head on the neck, even when I used the 2 rubber bands on the cane. Apparently it works but if you move the head two or three times the rubber bands loosen force. I have the same doll.

Yes, I still struggle with that head. I used only one silicone band and underneath I glued some textile but it still moves around. I will try a few more options and I will make a video on how to keep that head still, as soon as I figure it out 😊

I fixed with a garter very tight, seems work very well ^^

Yes they are! You can find few things legit on Aliexpress but you can easily get Imomo Dolls, 1/12 surprise bjd boxes, Nendoroids, UF Dolls and if you search a bit more you will find Azone, Pullip, TinyFox too. They all come with the original boxes, accessories, certificates, nothing missing. I apologize for taking me so much to get back to you, I'm still figuring out where all these comments are in the YT dashboard and they were hidden. I only noticed I kept loosing them and took me a while to figure where were they gone
