Glad you got your sail. It looks very nice. Looking forward to your overnight trip video. Oh, and loved the slow motion smile and wave. Lol

Lol, thanks :). I was pretty upset at losing all the footage but I got it to work into a video just fine :)

Love that you can customize these! Pretty neat ❤

Yeah, I'll be getting the bigger sail for light wind for sure!

Looking sharp! I adore my Sea-dog sail but it is hard to find other sailing-sea-kayak-enthusiasts. Mine is mounted immediately fore of the front hatch. If I understand correctly, the center-of-effort of the sail should be as close to the center-of-effort of whatever is acting as the keel, which is likely to be a paddle from the cockpit. Your wheelie-cart behaves like a see-saw. If you put the boat on the cart nearer the cockpit (just ahead is my preferred), the boat-on-cart will be light & balanced and easy to manage.

My wheelie cart has a very small basket, I think it's homemade from the previous owner and it fits where it fits unfortunately. Luckily I don't have far to drag it at home

Another step forward! Now turn your paddle over it is driving me crazy! Curved side down!

Lol, I'm going to use a sharpie and put down arrows on the paddle, look for them in the next video :)

Yes It’s so annoying People go kayak sailing before they even take one paddling lesson 😂😂 The sail does look fantastic 🤘🤘
@sailingslowmotion6 ай бұрын
@@BlazinBlades true, I'm new to sea kayaking and this paddle, but don't be too annoyed, I've got dozens of overnight kayaking trips and surely over 1000 miles traveled in kayaks of different varieties. I'll learn this set up as time progresses on

hehehehe, got me thinking about the first times i sailed my kayak. with enough effort in nearly no wind, I was barely able to create "apparent wind" and was stoked that the sail pulled me along.

Lol, yep that was my thoughts exactly :). Ready to really try it out now

The jib on my hobie 16 or even the head sail on big monohull will immediately flatten out the ride, it’s amazing to stabilize the boat, Really interested to see how this does in some more wind and drive the boat through waves and less bobbing around, I’m sure you know
@sailingslowmotion7 ай бұрын
Yeah, most of the videos I've seen the people still paddle to keep steerage and Ballance but they are cooking across the water with little effort. I'm excited to try it out in a stiff breeze next :)

Your paddle is upside down.

Good catch, if you watch my newer videos you will see arrows on the paddle ends pointing down towards the water to prevent doing that again 😂
