When you first buy an apple device, it asks you to create an apple id. Icloud will be created automatically when you create your apple id. But I guess you can take photos and videos without creating the apple id first. But if you're buying one why don't you create it, it's just like your google account 😁

I actually didn’t get what you mean. But to take care of your battery I suggest you to plug in when it’s on 35% - 40% and leave it until it’s 100% and plug it off. It’s better if you’re not using it while it’s charging and follow the same charging cycle.
