I love your unboxings. One thing I’d like to point out, though, is that what we call “modern times “ is a period that started at the beginning of the 20th century. The industrialization of the Western world, the invention of cinema, new forms of art, bohemia, invention of cars.... for reference, the British series “Downton Abbey “ takes place in modern times. Right now, we live in post-modern era. So the style of this album, with it’s 20’s and 30’s inspired jazz, bossa nova and swing pieces actually fit perfectly in the modern setting; that’s exactly the type of music that emerged from the modern era! I just felt like correcting that when you said that IU’s “Modern Times “ was old school music with a modern twist; it’s actually simply modern music in the purely historical sense. I guess we tend to call things “modern « to this day, because that’s how people called all the new inventions and lifestyles back in the 20th century. It’s a common misconception! Anyways, keep up with your good work!
