UPDATE: After a month of having it out for my cats' enjoyment, they have really started to like this thing. They especially enjoy the little hanging hearts and little ear flaps on the side entrances. I even caught Biscuit taking a snooze in the center bed. The large tunnel openings really make this tunnel stand apart from others that you could buy.

You disparaged the Kitty City towers? I was interested in the Indoor/Outdoor tower system surrounded in a black mesh to keep the cats in. My abandoned duo are outside cats, but the summers in the desert are brutal here so I'd like to be able to bring them inside during the worst of the heat while keeping them from destroying my fellow home owner's stuff. However, these are 10.5 - 11lb cats with long claws. Doesn't sound like the tower material would hold up?
