Kev, my buddy 357Magdad uses a piece of heat shrink tubing on his Dremel wire brush to compress the wire bristles and keep them from splaying out. That lets you use the bristles inside the blade channels of some of these knives. You’d need a heat gun to shrink the tubing, which you can get in harbor freight. Probably the heat gun too.

For BUCK knives, send them back to the factory and let the people who know how they are built, because they build them, do the work. Ive sent 3 in so far and the work they do on the knives is amazing.

The Victorinox is an early version of what is now there spartan model. The can opener dates it between 1946 & 1951, it is a civilian model part of there officers and sports line. It is actually a descendant of the original civilian model quite collectible. Keeping it in as much as possible original condition is most important.

I also use Rem Oil on knives.👍👍 I never seen it used on leather cases before. Does it not ruin the leather? I also use CLP on blades as it does all three things as per its name. To just clean I also have used WD40 as I get a ton at estate sales for $1.

Hey , we don’t have buck knives available in my country . If there are any they are fake ones . How much does a buck 110 folder cost in general ? By my estimate it’s around $114 excluding shipping . Isn’t that too high ?

That big yellow knife you got that is from Germany that might be a Boker that is the oldest Knife Company they've been around for 350 years that's 197 years before Germany was ever called Germany just a little fun fact because the town that is listed on that knife is the same town where Boker has their Factory so you might want to look into that you might have a very very expensive collectible knife on your hands

Do you have a video that explains why and when you use rem oil , never dull and the polishing paste?
@theknifedoctor
@theknifedoctor 6 ай бұрын
No, I use them because I like the way they perform. I like the REM Oil because it works well on cleaning, lubricating the joints. Never Dull cleans and shines. Cleans better than Flitz, but Flitz shines better than never dull.
