The biggest drawback of this machine is chain tensioner. Makita made it with a soft cast iorn and it will brake at its 1st usage in most of its customers. Same has happened to my machine as well. And this was reported 4 to 5 years ago as reviews by many customers and makita still producing same quality material on this 2022 sale as well. Very pathetic and should consider this weakest tensioner as a big problem for the retaining customers from a bad opinion such a brand like Makita.

I just bought this chainsaw and I know I might sound like a noob. But I don't know what to do in regards to using oil. There was a small bottle of oil in the box, I think it might be lubricant, anyway I put all that oil into the top of the chainsaw, I haven't turned it on yet as I think I just made a mistake. Do I needed to buy chainsaw oil or something? I think I might need to drain out the lubricant. Help!! 🤣

@@Seven_1865 if you've got this chainsaw you need to buy chainsaw oil separately and put it in the top and the lubricant that came with the chainsaw goes directly onto the chain, you can use canola oil as lubricant.

A bad machine. It can be used for cutting sand. I have purchased one for home use. Abandoned. Waste of money.
