Unboxing + Mouting \\ Next Level Racing - GT Seat Add On

This is not a mounting tutorial, only a quick view of the unboxing and installation of the Next Level Racing - GT Seat Add On.
It took me about 1h to mount the seat on my stand.

Nice setup mate. I have the NLR Wheel Stand 2.0 and curious about how much torque your wheel has and how the setup handles it? I'm confused if I should upgrade it to a full cockpit like yours or just get a new setup if I shift into a direct drive wheel later on.

@@kimguts8381 since you already have the Wheel Stand 2.0, getting the GT Seat Add On it's a nice upgrade. My wheel it's an Alpha Mini and has 10Nm. I don't see any flex on the stand, usually I play with 85% of the maximum force because I don't like to clip. Even if you get something with 15Nm it will not be a problem, at all. Above that maybe you can start to listen to some metal creaking, but I don't think you will use something above that because it's just unrealistic and you lose FF fidelity, whatever base you buy. I hope that I've helped!

Hello! Thanks for watching! In length it's around 1,6m. It depends on seat and pedals position. I've mesured from the tip of the seat till the tip of the pedals.

review later please? i have nlr wheel stand 2.0 and thinking of getting the gt seat add on or getting the logitech play seat trophy then giving the wheel stand to a friend or something or convert into flight stand for MFS

Hi Sam Sam! I will have to use it for quite some time to provide a good review, but, my impressions are: Going towards the Logitech Play Seat Trophy, for me, it feels like a downgrade, but I never used it to say for sure. There's a difference in materials, specially the mounting point for the base, but also the seat itself, the NLR seat looks and feels better. There's also the shifter mount on the GT Seat Add On, so you can attach an handbrake and a manual shifter to it. What I like in the GT Seat Add On: - It's comfortable - Doesn't move around, it is well fixed to the structure - You can adjust it like any car seat - The seat position is like driving a GT racing car (not Formula style) - Good quality materials overall - Later you can mount more components because there are many holes in the structure, so you're free for some moding The downsides: - It will be difficult to move around (if you need to move it) - If you're too large, the seat bolsters can be a bit thigh for you - The seat bottom looks like it will degrade fast with the usage (I've got a car seat cushion from Aliexpress to avoid that) - If you're big and you have a thick-body, the seat will not suit you (I have around 80Kg and it suits me fine)
