i agree with you about the ribbon shoes. i feel like they're doing it more often as a way to cheap out on plastic. also, i'm pretty sure the highlights in her hair are orange in reference to tigers/stripes

Someone else said that about the tiger stripes and I feel so dumb for not even thinking about that 😅 and the ribbon shoes are so cute but I just can’t tie them for anything.

Congratulations on your Lily’s arrival and well done on a great review such a shame your box was damaged especially being a numbered one. Her bracelets are so cute and detailed, she really is a stunning doll, I love everything about her, black and red is my favourite colour combo, sadly she is just out of my price range right now.

Yeah, honestly, I think waiting for her to be on sale is a better route. She’s gorgeous but $80 is such a stretch. I think had she even been like $60, I would’ve felt more comfortable about it tbh.

I had a similar situation. My Lily Cheng arrived without earrings. My heart broke. I don’t want to sound dramatic but I waited a long time for her, had big expectations and she wasn’t even complete 😭 I wrote to Amazon’s service and they said they would refund me. I don’t know if they have. The Lily Cheng experience was soured for me. I didn’t even want to restyle her. As a result of this sour experience I didn’t feel she was as stunning as I expected . I like her very much but I’m a bit… underwhelmed. 😑

It’s ok to feel like that. Honestly, especially at her price point, it’s normal to have higher expectations of quality and also to be hurt when those expectations aren’t met. I hope they gave you a refund. I was so crushed and defeated feeling when my box came damaged and it wasn’t even as bad as everyone else’s, but that didn’t stop me from feeling really sad. I totally understand.

Oh no those things in her hair are in the head 🤦🏻‍♀️. Oh I have a question which red cancels green the best in RIT dye? I did Bella with black it turned dark green so I tried dark brown since I saw someone did that color on Stella and it looked almost black to me but still the hair on my Bella is dark green so I know you told me try red my hobby lobby had scarlet or wine - I bought wine thinking a dark red would be best but my Lydia Deetz def still have green in her hair 🤦🏻‍♀️🤗. Not sure if I’ll try fixing it since I already cut her hair & did the bangs to turn her into Lydia but just wondering if I ever need to know in the future. Def wish I had tried dark brown to begin with.

I’d say Scarlett or even maybe fuchsia to cut the green out. Rit’s black and brown/tan/camel are all super green based so like they are a total pain!

I’m super happy with my omg Speedster I did 1 bottle of emerald green I do 1/2 the bottle with hot water & vinegar for like 30 minutes or so I think I really love how it turned out after the 2nd dye. I’m finally almost done with my Redo Greta. I made a Ruby into Pennywise too 😉😉😉🤗🤗🤗

Hiya, so nice to see you back and glad you are feeling and getting better. I really like your videos. Regarding Amazon, most of my dolls have arrived ok but my last Rainbow High Doll, Winter Break Skyler came crushed and her plastic box cracked open, so that was disappointing, so take comfort that it is not just you. I appreciate your review, I will be waiting to see if the price comes down. The little extras are just not enough for me to justify the full price on this doll. The price was definitely a hard one to accept, even with everything that she came with. If I weren’t getting an unnumbered replacement for the damaged one for basically free, I probably would’ve waited til a sale to buy another. She’s gorgeous but I can’t bring myself to say she’s worth $80. Same for the Rocker line though, it took me ages to buckle down and buy doubles because they really don’t feel worth $50 to me.

I’ve had great experiences with Amazon shipping dolls and a couple bad. I’ve also had bad and good experiences with target, Walmart and others too. I think it just depends on the particular picker in the warehouse who is boxing your item. Also, how careful the carriers are. I do a great amount of my shopping online so I’ve experienced a mixed bag. I was lucky this time, I got my Lily on Thursday and I received 417. The box was fine (there was a small amount of brown packing paper in my box) but I had to take her out anyway to remove a small red paint mark next to her mouth. She is still attached so I’m trying to decide if I want to put her back in the box or fully unbox her. I’ve never had a numbered doll before but not sure how much fun it will be just having her in a box. Aggghh…doll collector problems.

Same! Like I’ve always unboxed my dolls. I think lately I’ve been leaving them in boxes for longer and longer after I get them because unboxing is so exhausting 😅 I’m glad your Lily made it safely!

I'm beyond annoyed for you. As collectors it's disheartening. You got an angel to help you get a refund at least . Honestly I've had a few Omg Lol Dolls boxes crunched a bit but I don't save boxes. I think keeping Lily in her box is something I would want and a play doll as well. I may just buy in Target someday. I want her... Year of the Water Tiger which is Scott's year as well. Keep the number tag 🏷 maybe if the next dolls box is better you could just switch the two tags, that’s what I’d do. I love her 😍 I want to get her so much!

The way the tag is on, it isn’t tied on, it’s like glued in to a seal, so the only way to swap it would be to yank the rope ribbon out of the plastic seal, then somehow try to fit it back in and glue it ?

I live in Canada (dollsofbliss from Instagram, hi!) I ordered Trendsetter from Amazon US because she STILL isn’t available at Canadian retailers or on Amazon Canada. I pay for Prime, it shipped out fast & got here fast. BUT they shipped her in a bubble mailer & her box was crushed! Broken open! So I contacted Amazon & they issued me a refund & let me keep the Doll. It was disappointing but i wasn’t too surprised..

See that’s insane to me! Like that box very obviously isn’t the type of box to mail in a bubble mailer. They don’t even attempt to write fragile on it either, just just fling it in one of those flimsy mailers and let whatever happens happen. I can’t even understand what logic is being used 😩
