I lucked out Sunday night and won one of the 10 golf putter milling pattern knives they had via lottery. I can't hardly believe it. It's my first time trying to get one from Oz and I got lucky I guess. I can't wait to check it out in hand. I have been going back and watching most of the old Rosie review videos because I'm so excited. Lol

This was the same reaction I had when i first acquired my arius and flipped it open and closed it the first time. The feeling was like nothing is ever felt before and just hit my soul in a sweet way.

Hello. Love your vid, I felt the same when I received mine and still the same afther 7 months of ownership. It's the best knife of my collection, I'm lefty, I can't even carry it on my left pocket and still I love it. Best advice; save the $$ and enter the Oz's Lotos, FCFS or table events. It took me almost 4 months to get my Rosie on a loto, and it was $840. For me the time and money spent was worted. Hope you get yours soon.

Other option is a trade if the opportunity present itself. Ebay have several listed but the mark up is insane.

I saw one on Knafsale for $1060 for the milled textured one in what I can only describe as something akin to McNees Atomic Wash finish. I’m sure that was a $150 to $200 markup, which I’m sure is not bad. I’m going to go for the lottery.

They are very close and both have special places in my heart. The Oz is the 1st one that is this special, but the Holt fills the spot of the Herman Sting very well. I enjoy carrying it and the Oz. So that is a long answer without really answering.

@TeeFetch This knife is a framelock so you will never have to worry about Omega springs. This knife is worth every cent of the $750, $800, or more price tag.

Might be true but I can understand why price puts people off. Maybe each knife needs judged based on its own merit but I tend to do that with brands. @@Robs_Nerdy_Knives

Everyone today loving this knife is funny. The corner where the tang doesn’t meet the handle when closed looks ugly as hell. You all are getting ripped off too on that design lol. The new new is hype these days. Get a handmade custom at that price not something where you are giving away money.

That is purely your opinion as is my review mine. You have the right to yours as I and many, many others have the rights to ours. On that note, you are dangerously close to missing my biggest requirement when posting here.. be respectful. I ask you to respectful. You can easily say the same thing with being respectful and not critical of someone. I have thick skin, so this comment will remain for now. Again, you have the absolute right to your opinions about knives, as does anyone here. In fact, you may likely have some who agree or sympathize with your opinion, so that is why try to foster an area in my comments where people can talk and make their claims or state their opinions, respectfully. You may have some great points, but most will be on the defensive now you came in barrels blazing.

@@Robs_Nerdy_Knives everyone does have their right to their opinion. I don’t think you have thick skin. Most people when they really start to get on a wave of hype are afraid to say the opposite. Especially when people pay the much money it hurts to be criticized for it. I pay a lot of money at times for knives and I wouldn’t care if someone doesn’t think it’s worth it but as someone who has had thousands of quality knives over the last 20 years I can see the trends and deduce what’s marketing gimmick and what is popular rise and fall and see what sticks around years later and what is then popular years later. Btw the Oz Rosie has tiny pivot screw size too what is that a T6 on the pivot? I know for a fact people buy this knife partly because it has a catchy name. Strider SNG MEFP 3v. That’s a better knife with a choil. I guarantee there are also better cheaper option from a myriad of makers that put out quality high end ti frame locks without ripping the customer off because they can.

This is my last warning to be respectful or I will remove you from my channel. Be respectful to everyone, including me. We can have differing opinions, saying why we disagree without being derogatory or tearing folks down. I dislike Striders and would never own one nor have one in my collection, as i do like not Emersons. I have handled them and their ergonomics, design, and action appeal very little to me. I respect those who like them snd encourage them to enjoy them. I am sure some will absolutely love them and I encourage them all to buy what they love. I gain very little from tearing someone or something down; however, i like to focus on things I like or that appeals to me or most of us. My opinion of the Rosies derived from being loaned the knife for a review. It is truly an amazing knife to experience and handle. You appear to assume T6 screws for a Rosie pivot. It indicates that you have not handled one and are basing it on an opinion of what you have handled and like. Having a bias is fine, but it is gives a person zero basis for criticizing and tearing down other designs that do not appeal to you. You can not like them, but you cannot discus something you don’t like if you have no basis on what it should be. You honestly sound like the grandpa who says all you need is a Buck 110 because that is all I have ever carried and anyone should ever carry. 420 steel is more than enough. You assume some long range view of the knife market that I’d disagree with you on based on sales, market, materials, etc. That logic opens yourself up to flawed logic/conclusions and would define your only knives to be purchased as ones from Buck and Case. Both companies are pivoting their designs to stay relevant and remain viable financially and marketwise. Your same logic would preclude that not only Oz Machine Co, but also Brown Knives, Sharp By Design, Peter Carey, Koenig Knives, Holt Bladeworks, Hog House Knives, Rob Johnson, and many more should just fold up their custom knives to apply and work at Strider, Case, or Buck for jobs. I don’t think so. Eventually, price and value is determined by those who buy the product. Someone may feel a knife selling for $850 is worth $500 with limited insight into manufacturing, machining, materials, heat treat, and finishing costs. In some cases there may be a small argument but many times it is a factor of what one is willing to pay and what one values in a knife. I couldn’t care less about textured designs, Timascus, damasteel, Chad Nichols Damascus steel, and more, so they add no value but for others they are very important, thus the cost is warranted to them. So it is not a matter or of objective facts, but an interpreted and understood/perceived value by the buyer. I’d pay $850 for my Rosie with no questions but I might only consider buying a Strider for $100 to do a review. I’d sell right afterwards or give it away. That is my perceived value, which is not everyone’s. And that is okay. You may not like it, but your opinion is not the only right opinion. Just as my opinion is not the only right opinion. And that is okay.

@@Robs_Nerdy_Knives I appreciate the interaction and input. I like to be defiant and challenge people, I don’t apologize for that or say much else on that matter except that I still think people are soft today and too politically correct and have to tread carefully but I do not and still express myself like it’s not personal. It’s how I talk. I’m 33, an old head to some and young to others. I digress As for knives. There are many good ones for different folks and different tasks and tastes. Business of selling and making money off knives today is better than ever with all new technology, material, knowledge, efficiency of manufacturing, and better than ever marketing today than ever before. Some knives take years to vet as proper everyday lasting tools and those are the ones I look for. Knives of today are fidget friendly knives that market to users who don’t use their knives but collect them primarily because they want to sell more knives yes. That’s fine if that’s you and yours. Strictly going off design and no frills marketing a proper lifetime tool is appealing to others. Say some who have been collecting and using knives to realize that you get the most enjoyment of the knife that sticks around and gets used. Some people find satisfaction in having a pelican case full of knives they whip out but don’t enjoy and or get rid of after the novelty wears off and it’s a struggle for them to find joy in their knives. Different times in your knife years you realize what you as individual are satisfied with and that’s most important or second to preserving your money or at least spending it responsibly. I’m going on a tangent here . Lastly I will say my favorite knives are #1 Strider SMF Groot handle with a nightmare grind clip point blade with cracked ice flats on the blade followed 2008 Umnumzaan, they debuted in 2008 Blade Show and won knife of the year. Followed closely by both a large and small Sebenza 21 year 2010 or below. A lot of new knife people don’t even realize that Chris Reeve invented the frame lock known actually by its real name as the R.I.L The Reeve Integral lock. Then production Strider SnG and SmF with honorable mentions to ZT 0777, Bladetech Magnum Pro Hunter, and what I would call the modern Buck 110 a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 and by that I mean the knife that everyone different generations has because it’s such a staple knife. Shout out to Ichiro Hattori. Blessings and good health to you sir.
