Good morning! ☕️ I ordered my mini anchor after seeing your first video and just got a shipping notification that my bag is coming from China. I know a lot of products are made in China, I just didn’t expect that I would be ordering directly from China. I called their customer service and they said that they are online only. I feel it’s a bit misleading to call themselves an NYC brand. Based on CB Insights and global media, OLEADA is a China based company, I think they should be transparent about that like Songmont and not try to make ppl believe they are a NYC based brand. That said, I like their corporate ethos of upcycling deadstock and plastic bottles, just hope they do it ethically and sustainably.
@saphna20956 ай бұрын
also the info on their leather is very confusing. they call it recycled leather from the food industry, then rescraped leather and also replated leather. what is it?^^ hides from the food industry don't make recycled leather and then they have a recycling program for old handbags, but nowhere explain how those materials are worked into their new handbags
@vanessaeriksson12126 ай бұрын
Wow, how misleading 😞 I agree! I prefer it when I buy slow fashion: key investment pieces that I wish and expect to last (forever). Then, I would like my bags made in France, Italy, the UK or New York. Again, this is my personal preference 🙏🏻

@@karenhutchens7557 I just ordered the anchor and now I see these comments. Thanks for the info and your personal experience! I'm not so worried now. But I do agree, they should be more transparent about their company and the fact your product ships from China.

Hi Michelle. Personal trainers don't really know what to do about injuries. I had a personal trainer once that would force me to do squats when I told him my chiropractor said I can't do any squats or anything that compresses my spine. Especially the lower back. The personal trainer would make me do squats and when my lower back started to hurt he would help me stretch it out and then we would go right back into the squats to finish the sets. They are mainly focused on finishing sets. I had to get x-rays from my chiropractor to show him that my L5 disc in my spine is degenerating which is why I cannot compress my spine. Mind you I told this personal trainer this before I hired him. When he saw the x-rays he paid more attention to how my body was positioned while doing squats and thats when he saw that I shouldn't be doing them. Let's just say I never rehired that guy as a personal trainer. When a client complains of having pain the only thing personal trainers do is tell their client to stretch it out and ice it. What they should be telling you is to go to the doctor. If your felling pain all the way down to your legs then you might have some sort of nerve damage. If I were you I would hold off on doing any lower body work out, see a doctor and focus on upper body workouts just to be safe.
@SamanthaLeonardo6 ай бұрын
Hi Michelle, I had the same pain, and a friend from work noted that I might have sciatica. Went to my chiropractor and she confirmed that I do, and recommended I see an acupuncturist. BEST DECISION EVER!!! It took 5 months worth of weekly sessions but I’m pain free now. I still have to be extra mindful of that body area and stretch it everyday. But I’ve been pain free since then. I am not a doctor, and I know this is unsolicited advice so take it with a grain of salt. But I do hope this helps you eventually. Let us know in your vlogs how it goes.

I found that some platforms focus on using environmentally friendly materials to make high-quality imitation bags. Choosing replicas can reduce the demand for luxury raw materials and support environmental protection to a certain extent. *condup* not only satisfies the pursuit of fashion, but also reduces the burden on the earth.

Michele I totally feel you with the aches and pains of Body. I'm now 64 and have been through my bout of injuries. Not anything that has floored me but along the lines of what you are talking about. It takes a lot of patience and work to get through them. But I'm a true believer that it all happens for a reason. People and you might shutter but in my 64 years I have come to that right just conclusion. Every injury is a teacher to the body to strengthen and the body will heal. My frozen shoulder, groin pull, pulled muscles, tingling hip ,achilles tendon blah blah blah all tell me a story of healing. I meditate , use a Gua Sha stone, essential oils, heat , ice, ...EAT PRAY LOVE. Oh yay and do not discount Menopause, hormone fluctuation, decrease estrogen and all. You are soooo not alone. With love, Madelyn

Hi Michele, do not ignore a knee injury, even if you think it’s from an old injury. At least go and see a physiotherapist, because the transferred pain sounds like other connected muscles are assisting and are becoming inflamed. I also have high arches, and my feet pronate when I run, which of course causes shin splints, knee and hip pain for me if I don’t wear good ant-pronation sneakers. I was looking carefully when you were showing us the sneakers and I would have your trainer check that for you, as that can impact the steadiness of your entire leg when weight is applied to the leg if the foot is slightly destabilised and rolling inwards (pronating), resulting in the knee having to do the work of the foot as well to stabilise the leg. Hope the shopping went well, have a great week ❤

I ended up buying the Mini Anchor bag as well... I like it, but my main problem is that you really have to fully zip it in order to secure things, and it's not easy to zip without two hands. My other crossbodies I can reach into and not have to fiddle with securing them. I actually had some things fall out of the Mini Anchor when it wasn't zipped. I really like it but wish the opening were different... 🤷... but this pistachio color is GORGEOUS. Also, mine didn't come in the tote! 😥

Hi Michelle, I am 57 (was a marathon runner till 2016 too) I had also exact same pains in my lower back, knee areas, feet etc. I was also frustrated visited Orthopedic etc… But I found the reason, it is menopause problems related to very decreased Östrogen level. That is something lots of doctors don’t know.. The solution maybe something with hormones.. You can try into this direction. Hope it helps.

I hurt my back ages ago bending over while wearing high heels. Went to a chiropractor who said I shouldn’t wear such high heels (3”). I stopped wearing them and my back has thanked me lol. Then I hurt my right knee while skating. Then I fell off a horse at the canter (“went out the barn door” as they say) and got a huge bruise deep in my right buttock. My right hip and knee bother me but I don’t let it stop me since I don’t want to freeze up as I age (I’m 63). I’m determined to stay fit and mobile! I hope your injury gets better Michele! Hi Michele! I’m not sure if you’ll see my comment since I’m here few days later and catching up with what I’ve missed. So you knee pain - many people are saying it could be sciatica but I want to say it could be torn meniscus - I had it on my both knees and had surgeries on them both, at a different time, but I’m just too familiar with the pain and how it starts, that’s why what I’m suspecting. If it’s a small tear it can heal by itself with some PT, and in some cases you need a surgery. The surgery is not that bad, I had my last one in January and I recovered remarkably fast. I truly hope you don’t need it though, but in any case I would address the issue with the doctor. Best of luck to you! ❤️

Your video inspired me to buy this bag (and a toiletry pouch/clutch bag-heart shaped). She has such great taste and reviews. The heart bag is SO nice! The handbag...not so much. Going right back! It has a very strong plastic smell. The material feel very plastic-PVC like. Lining not that great-a cloth kind that is a bit loose. Company was easy to work with and quick response for return. If the handbag had the leather of the heart pouch I would not be returning it!

So sorry to hear you are injured, it's a bummer for sure! But it's your body telling you to stop and take notice that what you are doing is no longer working for you. Now is the time to get advice from qualified practitioners to access the injury and give appropriate protocol for healing. There is no empirical evidence to suggest an aging body is falling apart and there is nothing you can do about it. The reverse is true, exercise increases longevity. Its a journey to live a healthy life for as long as you can, never give up!
