@@petya5314 the car itself is cool. Working on it is a nightmare tho and since this was a v1 and not a v2 it had transmission gear problems since the gears were plastic and I was trying to run a brushless system in it

Thanks for watching and commenting. It's an awesome truck. Make sure you try it on a fully charged battery if you're using the original, you'll actually enjoy it. Or switch to a 2s lipo. I've gone through 2 different brushless setups since this unboxing and now on number 3 I think I found the perfect setup.

@@NanceLvr will do. I'm borrowing the motor at the moment so when I get mine I'll post a video about it and show it ripping. It's a 4400kv 3660 with a 25t pinion on 2s. Might go back down a couple teeth because it runs warmer than I'd like

@@OmniMan_Racing Nope..Parts will still be supported for the Avenge and Conquest lines..Hobbytown put out a notice saying so..But traxxas did sue them over waterproof receiver boxes on the Select 4 series ..Invictus and Dominus..Those have been discontinued and those parts are limited to stock on hand..HPI is belly up though..Again.

Yea the ladder bar chassis on this truck is pretty sweet. Super tough truck after a brushless swap, regearing, and 25-30 3s lipos I FINALLY broke it (idler gear lost a couple teeth, $10 fix). Favorite and probably strongest stock 2wd basher

@@OmniMan_Racing Would you mind telling where you bought your idler gear ? Everything is out of stock. Only thing I would see would be to adapt 2 serpent steel gear which are same size but narrower... Thx

My truck is far from stock now so it wouldn't be the exact same. Look through the manual it's very helpful and enjoy the truck. It's a blast but it has its weak points

I was wondering, it comes with a 15t motor, what's a better motor for the car to go faster

@@stormynight505 your options for a faster brushed motor on 2s are limited to a 12t motor. If you want more speed I recommend playing with gearing on the stock motor or going brushless

It's plastic if I remember correctly but the idle gear is the weak point of transmission

@@stellerate mine is over geared and I keep running it on 3s. If you keep the stock gearing and stay 2s you'll be able to keep it pretty reliable

Can you out a 3s battery in I have 2400 ones which last about 2 or 3 minutes want one that lasts longer for more fun lol

On a v1 jumpshot a 3s will eventually kill the transmissions plastic idler gear

@@nicklee9612 if you have a v1 dont bother going brushless until you put the v2 transmission gears in it. If you have a v2 throw more power at it but keep some spare spur gears
