I pre-ordered it. When they first announced it I saw it as my way out. I've been collecting since the very start, bought all the boxes and warbands, all the rivals decks. So yeah, it hurt to have that all made null and void. But the changes they have made seem sensible (I'd have preferred art on the cards as well but it's not a big deal to me), they're making all the old warbands at least usable, and even re-releasing some of them, and also releasing all the cards for them separately for those that already have the minis. I'm 99% sure the re-released kits also come with the cards.

While I can understand the freedom here isn’t it just a fresh start to reinvest and the cycle start over? Underworlds has been extremely well supported in the last 6 years it just feels like a massive finger to the consumer

I feel bad for long-time players who have large, impressive collections. I'm lucky in a way because I'm getting Underworlds teams from Stormbringer but also bought one of the starters and two single teams I loved the look of. So out of my 14-ish teams I only have 4 decks, the others would be hard to find and potentially expensive. The new edition having print and play rules for those teams tipped the balance for me.

Im glad the older teams are being supported - storm bringer is a great way to grab the teams - if you haven’t invested much in underworlds or are completely new to it, it’s a good set (although a little pricey I feel)
