Hiya the fx 83 gt x and fx 83 gt cw which one is better?

There’s not much in it. I think the CW is probably a little harder to use than the x though.

I’m reading through various reviews and EVERYONE is saying the new CW models are a retrograde step from an ease of use point of view. Trying to find nos of the old models now.

Yes I read the same thing, apparently cow is an upgrade from x and supposed to have a few more functions but as for dayliy use, think x has much simpler steps than the cw. Trying to decide which is to get for my 12 years old for high school use. I think for ease of use probably the x

My only slight concern is if everyone else rocks up with the cw model and the teachers assume everyone has that model etc but i think i'm overthinking it :) Just went in Sainsburys and they had loads of FX85GT which exactly the same but has a solar cell rather than an AA battery so bought a couple of those.

It clips at the top and bottom, no need to slide like the old calculator.
