Protein Bond is the greatest gift known to mankind!!! I used to have problems lifting but since I’ve started using YN protein bond, my nails have stayed on. I’ve had the same set on since OCTOBER!!! All I have to do is file, PB, fill, and I’m good. I used do a full set every week/two weeks due to lifting and failed nails. Not no more!!! Thank you Young Nails!!!

I would love to see more videos using Gloss. I just started using it and I LOVE it. I work in the bakery of a grocery store, so I'm often lifting heavy boxes or metal sheet trays from stacks and my hands are constantly getting wet with dish water and sanitizer. I had lots of problems with Finish chipping (even with a 150 grit surface and protein bond) and getting dull and scratched. When I switched to Gloss, those problems were completely eliminated. Gloss is stain and scratch resistant, is shinier (I think) than Stain Resistant, and does not lose its shine over time. I really don't think it gets the attention it truly deserves. I would not be at all surprised if it was YN's worst selling gel because they don't talk about it. And they should because its AWESOME!

I'm so spoiled that when I ran out of protein bond and used another bonder my nails rebelled and said wtf are doing cuz I got immediate lifting and I no it was lack of protein bond cuz it was the only thing that was different. I bought the kit that costs $49.00 Canadian as well as forms which I bought separately and not as good a brush as your signature acrylic brush. The curing machine as well $149.00. Can’t wait to try it. I bought this cause I love gels and not long ago I got skin dermatitis from using a dipping powder system. Not all dip powders are bad with chemicals. I probably touched my skin and developed an allergy. My product is in transit somewhere out west in Canada. 🙌 Thank you!

What is the grit you use on the arbor band for the natural nail Greg? Do you season a medium grit used on a low speed? I'm terrified of damaging the natural nail. Thank you for being so awesome!

we use a medium grit arbor band, 150 zebra. We season the tops by running the e-file against another hand file to get rid of the sharp edges. when we use it on the natural nail for prep, our rpms are around 3,000-4,000

Yes you can but do it in fairly thin layers and make sure to give it a full 60 second cure between layers.

We don’t put it on the natural nail when applying it with our glue but we do put it on our full cover tips to help prevent the gel polish from chipping or peeling😊

Hi there! What do you recommend for a beginner? I’m not sure if I should start off with the acrylic or hard gel first. I know I could buy both but would like to start off with one for now. Please help!

Both could be just as easy or hard as the other. Usually whichever you learn second is harder. We recommend seeing which has the most demand in your location and learn that one. If you are only doing your nails, we would pick whichever works best for your type of nails. If the nails are thin or damaged I typically do acrylic.. if they have healthy nails and or work in chemicals or water all day.. gel typically does better on them.

Yes you can adhere stones with gloss. We like using the clear sculptor. We have also heard people have sculpted with base it just has a high hear spike

Correct! So if you wanted to apply it over the synergy gel, you would finish file, swipe, protein bond and then your gel polish color.

I use build to encapsulate. Sculptor is too thick and is more for building a free edge with. And I've used Gloss in a pinch when I ran out of build before and it worked pretty good too but I always either mix glitters in build or use build to encapsulate,build is very versatile.

I bought this almost a year ago I'm still confused because I don't use forms I use nail tips and sometimes I have clients who just want to use their natural nails but they want an overlay so I'm kind of confused which Cindy gel do I use also if I use the gloss do I also use the top coat ?

If you want to use hard gel over tips you 100% can. You just want to make sure you are prepping the tips as well as gel adheres better to a textured surface. As for an overlay. You can use the same gels as in the video you just wouldn't be building a free edge. I have a question. I have been going to a nail salon that uses a gel that does seem to be stiff and dips it with alot of liquid to soften it up. The nail artist paints it on the nail as if painting its a color and puts my nail under the UV light. He repeats this step I think 3 times to build up the gel on the nail It looks less of a mess, less errors and I see no KZbin nail artist show a tutorial on that and what gel to buy.

It's hard to tell what that product is, but it sounds like they may be using a polygel. This is not a product we carry, so we can't give you much info about it, but if you have other questions, let us know!

No, they do not soak off. Hard gel needs to be removed with an e-file. Gloss is a hard gel top coat so when used on top of your flexible natural nails it will crack.

It's not necessary to. We would wipe the brush if we were using different color gels. If you want to, you can always wipe the excess gel on a tile or palette.
