I feel that marketing is the source and the hype that derives from good marketing is the main driving factor. Hype creates demand and desire and low supply is the catalyst for influx in resale prices of shoes. Consumerism obliges cuz ppl r have the means and the affluence to pay the inflated resale prices, so the hype stays and so does the resale prices. Resellers have a small part to play but overall its the willingness of the consumers that sets the bar.

Only way I'll pay anything over retail is if I sale another shoe to get them. Prime example. I wanted the off white 97. But I won the air force 1. I waited 2 months sold the air forces for 900 and got the 97s for 570.

As a reseller I look for at least 20% margin on my return. I don't try and make a killing on one pair of any sneaker. It's not about how much you make off a pair it's about the more pairs you sell the more money you make and the faster you can get the next sneaker release.

Visually, the vapormax has always grasped me from the start. I liked the look, but when I tried them on I was disappointed. I thought this was a shoe that can be up there with comfort ability but they felt stiff on the midsole. I’m sadly let down from these.

They're hyped up cuz they're off white. Resale prices r high becuz the majority of the demand that couldn't cop for retail are willing to pay the high resale prices that resellers charge for. The market is controlled by low supply high demand and resellers w bots.. The reason y it stays that way is becuz the people who can truly afford it wait to pay resale, leaving the people who also want it to continously talk abt the shoe, keeping the resale price of the shoes afloat.

Jacques I’ve always loved your content but I just get a little upset when you share partially true information. I know you actually know about the sneakers and the design and stories, but on camera you mix the info. For example the “bred colorway” for the offwhite 1 instead of the actual Chicago colorway that it was switched to. I think a little more prep and research for these videos could solve the mis-information problem, and make them overall more enjoyable.
