Hello! Chotronette is a made to order. all the dresses will start from zero when u order. and depending on the period you order, they can take a while... about the prices.... can't say for sure, but in romania since aprox september everything that is not so common ( special materials, dried flowers, things that are lux, not everyday use) have become hard to very hard to import. i don't know why, and with the "situation" at our border now it's not gonna make thing easy either. in my view a store, any store, does not have to announce a rise in prices, and for sure they do not have to give a reason. for me, working with dried flowers and having conversations with my suppliers, some thig just do not depend on us. i can give an order of 200 pieces of flower bouquets, and they say .... oh yes. on the 1st of august you'll have it. it came in november ! ( true story. this was my life last year... and i had orders to fulfill ... so )

I fell in love with Chotronette last year, but decided not to order from them for various reasons: A) They are quite inflexible with their design options. B) Their customer service is not reliable. Usually they respond to the first message, and ignore subsequent messages. C) There was some drama last year with a lady who makes fairy wings, and I didn't like the way Chotronette handled it. Both parties came across badly once they took their conflict into the public arena. D) You mentioned in your last review that there was a pin left in the dress. Not good! E) Now the prices have gone up by 50% without any prior warning or reasons given, which means most of their dresses are more expensive than Teuta Matoshi. Despite the fact that I love some of their designs, I will not be ordering anything from them. They just seem unprofessional, and now their dresses are not worth the price!

Yes, I read about the controversy too, and while I like to think that every story has two sides, Chotronette hasn't really said much about it (at least that I've found) and they definitely don't come out of that ordeal looking very well. You make a strong case against buying from them and in the end, I think you should always follow your gut on these matters ❤️

I fell in love with my wedding dress 3 years ago and when I saw that it had gone from $1100 to $1400 overnight, it was devastating, because I had waited so long to be able to afford it at its lower price, but I bit the bullet anyway and will be unboxing it today, and I’m just praying it’s worth the price I ended up paying for it

I know, it's so hard especially when you are scrimping and saving for a piece to have it suddenly be out of reach. I worked overtime and took a second job to help save for these, so I definitely get it. I hope your dress was a dream come true.

Pretty dress but their original pricing was reasonable while the quality and the design doesn't hold up to a 1200$ price tag. While I was thinking about getting a dress from them before I would never buy one with their new pricing. I just have seen too many better dresses with that price tag from other companies.

Yes, it was quite a shock to see the price hike and I agree there are some really gorgeous and more affordable gowns out there. In 2022, I'm hoping to try some dresses from some designers I've just heard about who have smaller workshops, lower prices, and some really gorgeous designs.

I know others have had it go poorly, but I had good experiences both times I shopped with them. Take careful measurements, wear the shoes you plan to wear with the dress so you will be sure you know how long you want the dress to be, and be patient. Their customer service was not super responsive. That being said, both dresses I got were so gorgeous, just beyond words, so I do recommend them.

Since it is a Romanian company they were probably affected by the war in Ukraine. The inflation in Europe has gone up over 20% in some Europe countries and we are all affected by the war
