Hey, I have a question about this Rogue figure. Does the box itself tell you how old Rogue was in the X-Men Animated Series from the 90s, as well as what her height is?

Awesome review. Some people who received theirs had an issue with the neutral face portrait. The eyes were too far apart and made the face unusable. From what I see in the video, yours doesn't look that bad but I don't think it matches to the prototype that mondo had. It still somewhat looks off. Thoughts and how would you compare it to the prototype?

Yeah I agree, that what I meant by “doll face” her neutral face looks more like a dolls face rather than rogue to me, she’s being far apart is part of it

One person already has received a response from support and will send a replacement head sculpt..now whether they have to make new ones cause this could be a widespread issue regarding the neutral portrait ..we don't know but at least they will make it right

I own the Hot Toys Spider Gwen and the face looks animated which is proper because the figure is based on an animated film. So this is also true with the Mondo Rogue based on an animated show. If you looking for a realistic Rogue may I suggest Soosootoys version of Rogue. I own thatt version and the face looks great.

Big fan of 90s rogue. To me, this looks like perfect proportions for the character. The posing looks decent. I can see what you mean it’s a shame we can’t put her into a flying punch pose due to her articulation. I was tempted to buy this, but held off, as it is a much bigger scale. Saying that. Seeing this review here, she really does look amazing. It’s a shame she is top heavy due to the hair, but I do like the hair style too. I can see that with that top heavy hair, she will be a liability on a top shelf and can tip over if you’re not careful. Nice review and might sway me to go out and purchase this now.

I always feel when you start hitting high prices for a figure I expect high end quality. I have my 1st Mondo figure coming. The Phantasm from Batman. I'm hoping the quality is good as it could be my first and my last.

One thing I haven't seen anyone mention is how the cuffs of the gloves are sculpted on the forearms. I have absolutely no idea why they did this, and it makes her ungloved hands basically unusable.

Yeah I noticed that also after I filmed my review AND I noticed the left hand cuff is glued BELOW the edge of the green forearm so there is green arm showing past the yellow edge on the glove side…

The cuff for the arm with the un-gloved hands is actually removable, but it takes a little work to loosen it. It feels like the paint wasn't exactly dry before it was pushed on initially, so it's on there pretty snugly.

I feel exactly the same about my He-Man, sculpt is there and accessories rock, great for the price except the paint! I moved his arm up and the shading isn’t there, like they put the figure together and sprayed over it 😤 Teela will be on the way next month and I’m nervous 😬 Especially after this review on the beautiful Rogue! Everything is great except paint 😢

Pretty disappointing to see how bad the QC issues are. She looks like the best Rogue we have got, but she's less articulated than the Marvel Legends Retro Rogue which is just not worth it for the price, imo.

For a long time I was planning on getting this figure, but once it was revealed, it became apparent that the head is too large. Even though based on a cartoon, the character designs in the tv show were actually very realistically proportioned, and this figure has an exaggerated head size, like you might see on characters from 'Batman The Animated Series'. So I passed on it, and now, seeing all the defects, I'm glad I did. For that price, they need to nail it. I hope somebody will make a perfect Rogue someday.

I just got my figure. I also have the same paint issue on the boobs. Mine are very obvious, and I probably will have to return. I also spotted a few other issues our figures share. But I could forgive those. But the ones on her chest are a little too obvious and in your face, on my figure.

Man, the Cost was/is ridiculous for these. Assumed it will be kind of Poor for the price...but it was/is the Only one Ive purchased from Mondo, because suckered by the Exclusive/Sentinal base.. It will look OK from a Distance. Just too expensive and don't care for the size at all. I even got a email saying there Might be a defect with the eye or eyes...we'll see when I get it. . So, guessing it will be a lesson learned about Mondo. I definitely don't plan on buying Anymore stuff from them because of the Price

The limited posing is a turn off for me. I'd prefer a comic accurate (ish) Rogue vs. from animated series personally. (Looking at you Hono). I commend you for not dumping all the issues you found on your copy of the fig on Mondo and instead moving the possible blame upon the factory. I hope Mondo gets in contact with you and you are able to get a Rogue that is more so what Mondo intended she be. Thanks for vid!

They rejected my request for a refund, per their FAQ all sales are final…I’ve never encountered that with expensive figures from reputable companies. I sent them a cranky email back with a link to my video…😬, I will tell you IF I buy a figure from them again it will be through another company that issues refunds and returns like Sideshow. I’m not happy with this experience

These mondo figures are way too overpriced. I had to return a harley quinn one I bought because of the same issues you described, except mine didn’t even bend either. The QC for mondo products is just unacceptable

All of my figures from this line have paint issues, I agree they need to slow down and focus on quality, they aren’t pumping out all that many of these for all the paint flaws! My regular face Rogue has her eyes extra far apart and looks like a cheap doll, and the right hip is all jacked up and looks terrible and she can’t stand very well, she also has 2 red lines on the abdomen and sloppy lines in general! I will definitely ask for a replacement, but the replacement I got for Sabretooth was even worse than the first! You’d think they could inspect their replacement pieces! This Rogue is pretty disappointing for the price, the sentinel head should have came with the regular to help her stand, 1000 pcs is a joke when the others have been week long open preorders!

If you were to compare the look of Mondo’s Rogue figure to the other ones in the line Rogue definitely has the worst likeness going by what these characters looked like in the show. Mondo’s Sabretooth and Omega Red figures look like they jumped out of the tv and yet both of them only appeared in a handful of episodes!

The Timed Edition is worth it in my opinion. Lots of extras but little difference in price compared to the Regular Edition. Soft goods doesn’t make figures better to me. Once you find out those faux leather materials disintegrate in 7-10 years you will definitely question yourself why you invested in those collectibles.

The box art has her in her original animated series brown jacket, so why did they change it to green. That does it right there. Way too expensive to already be going off detail to the original show. Sabretooth was done so well, I nearly got rid of my legends to start these, as I only collect anjmated series xmen. But if it’s to not get the level of detail sabretooth had, no thanks, i’ll stick to legends. The paint issues only further drive this home. If anything, for $230, they should have included a brown jacket and green jacket bust for those that wanted xmen 97 vs the original animated show. Not to mention, the color is off, even if you try to go off the new show. The green is top dark. Man, guess I dodged a bullet in not getting Sabretooth. I mean, it’s advertised on the box as a brown jacket, am I wrong lol, advertise as being based off the original animated series, even going as far to include items that showcase scenes, like when she absorbed Cyclops powers when fighting magneto. What a let down, and I cant imagine having paid that much expecting an animated accurate figure and getting this. Only thing I can see is that in certain episodes it’s green, and brown, and some episodes it’s green. I dont know.

So hey, after watching the end with the cel, first, I’m super jealous you have one lol. Second, I think that’s probably what they did is look at a particular frame. But you can check out the show and it goes all over the place. From just as brown as gambits trench coat, to a mix like this, to straight up green. So I guess I can hold it against them going with a mix, especially with the way they tried to utilize it in a cell shading way like in the animation at times. I still want my animated version of sabretooth with the correct body, mane, colors, etc. the job mondo did on him truly has me in awe every time I see it.
