Unboxing Series: Thrustmaster Airbus TCA Quadrant & Setup on MSFS2020

📦Unboxing Series EP4, where today I'll be unboxing the much awaited Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant Airbus Edition.
It's an Airbus Licensed Official Products, with other add ons such as the Airbus iconic sidestick, Flaps lever, Speedbrake lever etc.
Also shown in this video is the Sensitivity settings (Default vs Custom) for the quadrant to perform inside Microsoft Flight Simulator
2020. Has been quite a headache to set it up as the default settings were a bit off when it comes to detents' positions.

I have this complete model: Add On flaps and aero brakes, joystick and two thrust quadrants for four-engine airplanes. Not only is it a headache to configure the sensitivity, it is also that the quadrant in motors 3 & 4 mode does not have the buttons mapped in FS 2020 ... for me this is a terrible experience for an expensive peripheral! Buy you an X52, I have it too and it is infinitely better. By the way, thanks for the vídeo!!! I’ll try your configuration!!!

What button do you use to set the Switch back to "Norm Mode"? as a work around I used button 6, but thats not quite correct

You showed the default settings for the sensitivity, would you please show the whole default settings in profile as mine has been accidentally been over written and my Thrustmaster quadrant left lever keeps jumping to full throttle then reverse on its own, not working properly .Thankyou

I'm not understanding this, as if i also tried to set up throttle via palm next to pilot, am showing some overlaps in values-- therefore cannot be done... Novice to this, so is there some step am missin here (some guys were talking about "assigning of values"), i.e do I need to go there in controls and click in that one Tca need also to fill in all right column fields that are empty by copiying those buttons from the left column in table..?? Mine attempt is even after your video limited to skipping instd. of to CL detente to basically Flex position, and for reverse it would not activate.. Any hints ?

Can you share your engine mode selector key mapping? How can you make it turning back to "norm"?

you have to have the ign mode command working, leave the switch on the throttle in ign position, then add a second binding for normal mode, it probably already has one to get to normal from "crank".

As far as MSFS2020 is concerned, all the buttons have been configured when you first plugged in. Only thrust levers’ sensitivity might need to do adjustments. Thanks for the kind words :) !

It o most work for me, the issue I have is to put the sensitive - value in 84% .... it only show me from 83% and jump to 85% .... there is another place to change the value to 84% ? same with the sensitive + I cant get the 78% Thanks for the video!

Hi Hendrix, have you tried installed it using the FBW downloader software? It could be due to your liveries not directly supported by FBW A32NX...

I installed the latest firmware but i have huge problems... first the two levers arent‘t aligned and second the idle position is in the airbus when i put the levers into reverse position. Please help me it seems to work perfectlyfine for you :(

Hi Captain HD. Have you compared to the default settings & my recommended settings? Were any of the above settings works close to the perfect detent positions? To be honest my two levers aren’t well aligned as well (difference in N1 around 1-1.5% generally). This one was after I’ve slightly adjust by trial and error in each individual lever’s sensitivity settings. Idle position in ‘airbus’?

Hi. Did you saved the settings after you’ve set it? Otherwise it’ll revert back to the default mode.

@@TheMachFlyer Yes I did. And tried them again but it won't work I have to get it in reverse so to be idle for CL FLEX and TOGA I think it worked.

I see. Probably they’ve done something with the firmware / updates in MSFS. I’m afraid if default doesn’t work for you (with the latest firmware etc), you might have to try your own sensitivity settings, trial and errors

I want to use this throttle for DCS, everything is totally fucked on it, some games it doesn't recognize the axis for the throttles, others the reverse thrust fucks with the total range of the throttle. How do I make this as basic as possible, I just want forward thrust!!!!!!

I don’t know if this is an issue someone is familiar with, but my thrustreversers are activating when the throttle is on idle position. I have to move on click forward befire I have idle. Any tip to resolve that issue?

Hi. Are you using the default sensitivity settings? Where were your levers’ positions inside the sim when applying reverse thrusts in the tca?

Hi there, I've encountered the same issues as well for the ENG Masters switches, before I've update it to the 1.61 version of firmware. Have you done this step?

Yup, that is correct, ENG 1 to button 3 & ENG 2 to button 4. It should be working. Otherwise I believe it must be something to do with the firmware. As far as I know my firmware is still maintaining on the V1.61's.
