Unboxing some old October 1964 Civil Defense Public Fallout Shelter Survival Crackers.

Here I mumble through opening a vintage case and one 5 gallon can of civil defense public fallout shelter survival crackers. Needed to get some original crackers for the display at the Military Museum of Fort Worth so I opened an original case of crackers. Please nobody ever buy these old crackers thinking they can still consume them for food!

Love your site, I actually have a case of these unopened, i found a recipe that's kind of close so I don't have to open it. I do have 5lb of the candy they passed off as carbs. I remember them finding a forgotten shelter at the Brooklyn bridge years ago and they opened it and the guy said they tasted just as bad as they did then. Wish there were more intact shelters in my part of PA, maybe i could score some good stuff.

Hello!! I wanted to say that I saw your webpage of the civil defense museum. I wanted to thank you for providing all of this info! :) it helps so much since there isnt so much history of the Civil defense on the internet. I also like exploring and looking at the history of these shelters. Im from Puerto Rico and there's MANY military treasures around the island. Maybe it'll be fun for you to check them out :) Then again thanks for teaching us the history of the civil defense and fallout shelters. Keep doing the amazing work!! :D
