I seen the image of this guitar on Andertons and said “I think I need this.’ Usually a Fender chap but looks amazing. I know you are making a full review but based on this review alone, I just pre-ordered one from Andertons. I think you're nitpicking QC. I have this guitar and QC was perfect. Just a teensy weensy bit of buffing compound between neck joint and body. No fret buzz and the neck was straight (no truss rod adjustment required) The guitar comes with large jumbo frets and a 12 inch radius. Traditional Tele owners will find it to be a very different neck to play. Les Paul owners will notice little difference. The guitar is very good value for money at this price point. However, it does not come with a pickguard. If you have a low action setup and thrash your guitar, you will scratch the body for sure.

The overall QC is fantastic. As years have gone on, Squier guitar quality is absolutely incredible but as I said there was a very slight imperfection where the neck meets the body. Aside from that, it's perfect. Great setup straight out of the box, action might be a little high for me but that's about it. The QC issues at the beginning I mentioned were in relation to a much more expensive guitar and I think I'm absolutely right in holding that to a higher standard. Sounds absolutely phenomenal as well. This is definitely not an alternative to any other Telecaster for sure - this was very much designed off the back of the success of the Jim Root signature.
