Brings back some nostalgia. I love Pokémon cards and collected them as a kid, but Yu-Gi-oh was the first trading card game I actually understood how to play, so it’s kinda special in that way. I wonder if the cards would be even more expensive than Pokémon if it was a popular since the odds of rare cards are even lower

I started with Pokémon TCG as a kid, it came out when I was around 3rd grade so it was peak Pokémon age. As I got older I went to Magic and later to Yu Gi Oh in high school. My friends and I were delinquents so we would actually steal all of our cards from the Walmart and Toys R Us near us, and then go smoke pot and play duel monsters. It was good times, but I haven’t played or collected any TCG games at all over the last decade until now, and I’m just getting back into Pokémon which is what started it all for me in the first place. Pokémon still has a special place in my heart compared to the rest, and there’s just something about the cards that really continues to endear them to me.

I'm a massive fan of Pokemon and love seeing the older card unboxing. I havent been interesting in well over 10 years until very recently. But yugioh was #1 for me. I think thats because i was older when yugioh came on the scene. i think i was like 11-12 so i appreciated it that little bit more back in the OG days. so this was a treat to see. I remember a guy having a stall in the shopping centre selling these packs and single god cards. little did i know i was looking at ££££ today.

Bro I was thinking EXACTLY what you were saying at 14min. I LOVE the trap and magic cards in Yu-Gi-Oh, and I think it's cuz of the show like you said, but also cuz I played the Yu-Gi-Oh TCG game against friends ALL THE TIME, and rarely actually played Pokemon, just collected. The video game Forbidden Memories (PS1) also made me LOVE Rageiki, just recently beat it for the first time ever, never could as a kid, final battle is 7 or 8 in a row with now saves...INSANE!
