I like it man. But the biggest problem i see is you're gonna run these vex's on a 1 channel amp. Its only gonna play one side rather than left and right signals. It will be loud. Maybe you won't notice with the other speakers playing. But im subbed so i can see myself 😂

He needed 3- 4 channels if he wanted to go for sound quality, he's definitely gonna have phase issues with his mid bass.

@@Pittsburgh-412 yeah that’s what I’m going, just loudness for the mids and then let the NeoPros and Tweeters take care of the rest. I’m still learning as I go so I will see what it sounds like and adjust if needed. Thanks for the sub bro ! That’s a clean Toyota by the way !

Wonder how the vexs compare to the neo pros. The neopros appear to be much better for midbass when modeled in winisd. Are you going ported or sealed door pods?
@LoudGatrКүн бұрын
@@biguzivert So from research I did, the Neo’s play very good mid-high hz, and they sound loud ! But because of the magnet and deeper carbon cone, the VEX can produce more excursion at low HZ and play lower mid bass a lot louder! I’m not sure if I should so ported or sealed yet. Do you have a recommendation on ported v sealed for these ?
@biguzivert22 сағат бұрын
Yea the high excursion makes the vexs seem good. Neopros might have better midbass on 1 watt but Vex will be better at full power. Ported midbass in general is on a whole other level compared to sealed. 4 doors with ported midbass can easily outperform many 12 inch subs. It 100% adds complexity though because the enclosures will be bigger and you need to make sure you can still roll windows down. If you went ported though your car would absolutely stand out from the rest. Sealed boxes just aren’t going to give as much output in that 70-100hz range. That range does wonders to sound quality.
@LoudGatr20 сағат бұрын
@ hahah I just noticed you name big Uzi lol ! But I like what I hear ! I didn’t know ported doors could make such a big difference ! I’m going to look into that because I would have the front two doors done, and I think the midbass could sound great like that. Thank you for the advice !!
@biguzivert19 сағат бұрын
@@LoudGatr yea. I realized I actually understated the ported mids in my prior comment. 70-100hz. I really mean 70-200hz. Yea the the modeled f3 of the sealed is 300hz and the modeled f3 of ported is about 100hz. You end up gaining about 10db at 100hz with the ported. Now the biggest challenge with the ported is fitting the port in there, because it actually needs to be pretty big because chuffing will be very noticeable otherwise.

Nice build but I definitely would of went with some different mids and highs for the price and performance imo

@apexpredator_jku21 сағат бұрын
So all your mids are going to be played with a mono signal? Idk why people do that. That’s just setting yourself up for a shitty sound stage. Music is recorded and mastered in stereo…vocals, instruments & such are panned to Left & Right ie piano is panned to the left & strings are panned to the right so they won’t clash otherwise they’ll cancel one another out & sound like a train wreck. Same with vocals…lead vocals are panned one way & ad libs panned to the other. By running all your mids off a single monoblock you’re purposely making your system play music in a way it wasn’t intended to be listened to by the sound engineers that mastered the track.
@LoudGatr20 сағат бұрын
@@apexpredator_jku Thanks for the info, I honestly didn’t know all of that but I do see what you mean ! Only the VEX will be in monoblock and they will only be in the front two doors playing low mids only. The 6.5 will be on the two channel with L&R as well as the tweeters. They get really loud so I’m hoping that the 6.5 and the tweeters can provide the tuning you talked about while keeping the VEX just loud with mids. Thank you though I am learning a lot from people helping me out like you ! What would be the ideal set up here in your opinion ?
