It looks really outrageous in the video and photos, but unless you're shining a light directly on the face, it's understated looking and pretty much the same as any other negative display g-shock . A lot of the details don't really show up under indirect light. The loud colors actually make it a lot easier to tell the time and keep it from being just a black bracelet. The digital display isn't so under lit that it isn't really useful. It's a nice design, but I don't think Casio really made it pop quite the way they wanted to. I painted in the bezel labels to add a little style and make it more functional.
