That looks like a quality pcb board. I will definitely be building one of these.

Hello, how are you? Your videos are great! Is it very difficult to assemble this kit as a first project?
@diyrecordingstudio4 ай бұрын
Great question! DIYRE supply great kits with very good instructions. It all depends on your ability with soldering. I would attempt something else if youve never soldered before. If you can solder on a pcb, then go for it. These kits are awesome!

Crazy timing for this video! I just added my name to the list on their website the other day to be notified when available. Any word on if they’ll be coming out with a 1073 eq any time soon?

That’s a great question. I’ll have to ask them. It’s would be awesome if they did.

Thanks for the vid! I’m having a hard time deciding between this and the sound sculptor. Since you have both, which one do you find you’re using more for when you want the Neve sound? Thanks!

Great question. I use both all the time but I am favouring the DIYRE 73p at the moment. I think it does perhaps have more of the real vibe but the sound Skulptor also has the eq which I hope DIYRE does next. But atm 73p is the winner for me. I’ll have to do a more in depth shootout though.

@ Awesome! Thanks for the reply. Kinda leaning towards the DIY 73p. Guess I’ll have to wait till they’re back in stock lol

am I tweaking or is there no mic input ? I just pre ordered one
@diyrecordingstudio3 ай бұрын
Hey there, no there is no mic input. It’s slots into your 500 series rack and on the back there are xlrs, that is the in and out for mic or line signals. It has an instrument input on the front for bass, keys etc.
@diyrecordingstudio3 ай бұрын
Some neve 500 series have a combo input for mic/instrument/line signals on the front as well but this one does not.
@blueflame99663 ай бұрын
@@diyrecordingstudio okay but there is still atleast an xlr input on the back for a mic ? not a single video on it has shown the back 😅

Do you have a 500 series chassis? You need one to power the e 500 series units. The xlrs/trs ins and outs are on the 500 series chassis.
