Thanks for this video! Have not seen another one referencing this Bible. I just received this exact same Bible the past week that will also work in tandem with an older MacArthur study Bible. All I can say is WOW, totally happy with my purchase, almost too scared to handle it . Maybe will have to read wearing white gloves ! 😊 Happy new year 2024! Maranatha!

Thank you for sharing your review! I've been trying to find a video on this ever since it was advertised on Evangelical Bible, but this is the only one on KZbin! That Desert Camel Calfskin is absolutely gorgeous! Congrats on the purchase considering how quickly it sold out. A bit surprising that the Bible was printed in China though. I thought it would be a higher quality printing from Royal Jongbloed considering the cost of this. Thank you again and God bless!

Hans! Awesome video brother! I just got this Bible for myself in Black Goatskin. I 100% agree with you on the quality and beauty of the heirloom study Bible. I have also read and studied the ESV for years, but never have owned the renowned ESV study Bible. Wish I could post some photos of the black goatskin edition here. I find the 30 gam paper just fine! I hear some people complain about it being printed in china, etc, but the paper here is honestly just fine, sure it could be heavier and a bit more premium, but then this tank would be even thicker and heavier. Again, great video brother, keep more videos coming!

I agree! It's thick enough! 😅 Thanks for the encouragement!

How does the quality of the paper compare to that of the regular edition?

I believe it's the same.

It’s still available at Evangelical Bible under Crossway ESV Study Bibles. Tuscany and Desert Camel calfskin as well as Black goatskin done in partnership with Schuyler. Beautiful bible, I purchased it in Tuscany.

I think the Desert Camel is now sold out, glad I put my order in right at the beginning in early November.

I keep hearing good things about the Tuscany - that it only gets better with age. So glad you were able to get one before they ran out!

Wish there was a Bible company that has personal order where you can choose everything: 1. translation 2. font size (8pt, 9, 10, 11, 12) 3. Cover : Hardback, soft, leather, color, etc. 4. Study, journal; interleaved or column, prayer, reference, etc. 5. Extra (maybe your initials or something in the front cover to personalize) Somebody start a company like this please 😇

I'm assuming a lot goes into the processes of blocking, building, and distribution. But, who knows? Perhaps affordable customization will be one of the silver linings to the AI revolution in the next 10-15 years?

My copy arrives today in leather. It’s not the heirloom though. That’s a beauty! I prefer the nasb but liked the layout of the esv study bible.

@@The-Preachers-Folly I will. He just ordered the leather today. =). I did get one he made, ESV with the same leather that he was selling on FB. This guy is a new binder. When his work goes public his business is going to explode. His stuff looks like he's been rebinding for 10+ years!

Looks beautiful. I assume this is the exact same, fantastic ESV study bible that has been around for years but on premium paper and with an amazing cover? Or is there new content?

I believe it's exactly the same. This is my first physical copy, so I'm afraid I don't have much to compare it with. 🤷🏻♂️

The problem I have with the desert camel is that after just a few months of use the leather starts looking like it has cracks all on it.

Is not the MacArthur study Bible an ESV ?
@The-Preachers-Folly5 ай бұрын
Yes, the MacArthur Study Bible is in the ESV translation with MacArthur's study notes. The ESV Study Bible is in the ESV translation with Crossway's study notes. I hope that helps clarify.

Unfortunately printed in China.
@Ponyexpress18617 ай бұрын
Why unfortunately ?? 🧐🤔. I just received this Bible in Desert Camel and I think the entire elements are high craftsmanship including the paper . According to current scholarship, printing on paper was invented in China about 700 A.D., making China the country with the longest history of printing in the world. What I also love about this aspect is that good friends of my mother were missionaries in China in the 1940/50’s. So the printing gives me another intangible connection to them. Many evangelized Chinese are amazing Christians despite the political rule. I just think that we are very fortunate to be able to obtain such a high quality bible in our society. The Word of God is the same no matter what medium it is printed on ! 😊❤
@danielianello7 ай бұрын
@@Ponyexpress1861 these were once offered for a similar price, printed by Logos in Italy. I much prefer my money to go to a country that does not persecute Christians.
@Ponyexpress18617 ай бұрын
Isn’t it wonderful though that the Word of God is allowed to be sourced and printed in such a country as you describe?? And we are thereby allowing workers who operate these highly skilled plants to earn their daily bread! 😊 The assembly and binding is still done in the Netherlands 🇳🇱
@danielianello7 ай бұрын
@@Ponyexpress1861 No, I do not think it is wonderful. I am glad that there are missionaries present to bring the Word to them, they need it more than us, but this is supporting and perpetuating the very system that causes their persecution in the first place. They are working hard to print something that are not allowed to read for pay that does not allow them to live freely. And again, regardless of any disagreement on the morality of it being printed in China, the physical quality of the paper is objectively worse than that which is printed in the RYB (Netherlands) mill or the Logos (Italian) mill, and even the Indian mills.
@Ponyexpress18616 ай бұрын
@@danielianello So you prefer that China has no economy at all ? Seriously? There are persecuted and mistreated people to be found the world over, even within so called western democracies. It’s not up to you or me to decide how God moves within any nation. Truth be told , Chinese manufacturing is ubiquitous in global goods. The very device that you are using to comment on this post is undoubtedly of Chinese manufacture. And you almost certainly have items in your home known or unknown that were produced in the PRC. As far as your comment on paper goes, I have this Bible and the quality of the paper is top notch. Whoever gets the contract has to meet the standards under which the work is contracted out to the printer in this case by Crossway, and the quality is absolutely there! 🙂📙👍🏻👍🏻 If the Netherlands or Italy didn’t get the printing part of the contract, it may be that they are no longer competitive. All in all I’m very satisfied with this heirloom Bible and it contains top craftsmanship in all components ! ❤

If you love God’s word then you would use traditional text. If the Greek compilation or translations you use take Jesus’ Deity Out of 1TIMOTHY 3:16 and John 3:16 or make Jesus lie to his brothers in John chapter 7 concerning going to the feast then that is not traditional text. Modern Bible translators translate from a corrupted set of codexes which jesuits, catholics and satanists compiled. They worked to replace reliable codexes to translate from, instead using Codex Sinaiticus which was created in the 1800’s which they pass off as the oldest and best “old” Bible; Sinaiticus, they claim is 1500ish years older than it truly is. Then there is codex Alexandrinus which “appeared” about ten years after KJV 1611 was published, and codex Vaticanus which appeared in the Vatican around the 1400’s and was rejected by the scholars that worked on the KJV. Not every verse in scripture was changed but there are changes throughout. In a nutshell, handing Bible Translators something “messed up” to translate “from” makes whatever they translate “to” wrong from the start.
