Finally, a vertical handheld with just a single stick and large d-pad. I don't get why some people complain, because PSP, Dreamcast and N64 had similar controller's layout.

The 2nd stick is very nice especially in the emulation of FPS titles from these three systems, as it allows to remap controls to the regular control scheme of today. To play personal classics like Psycho Circus, Medal of Honor Heroes 1 & 2 or Perfect Dark without having to reset my brain to weird ancient schemes every time is great. 👍🙂

I really doubt it's going to play any GameCube in fact it's so locked down you couldn't even get dolphin on there but it does play in 64 pretty good and Dreamcast

I never liked the shoulder buttons on the other vertical handhelds. They always felt too high for me. The fact that they lowered them may make the device look weird, but I bet it is more comfortable. With the stick right above the shoulder buttons, that makes the device much more ergonomic for n64, specifically racing games that utilize Z as gas and the stick for steering. The 3566 is also a pretty good chip for N64. I agree it needs to be unlocked. I wonder if Taki’s unlocked Emuelec image for the M17 will work on this device?

Thanks for this I've been waiting for a review and looks like it has the issues I thought it would, though I'm still getting the purple one. If you can I'd love to get an image of the sd card minus the roms folder. I'd like to open up the retroarch.cfg backend so we can mess with settings. I'm hoping that knuli picks up the R43 Pro/m18 and m19 for actual cfw.

Always a deal breaker. I need to be able to remap the buttons. The stick also seems too sensitive. Good review though!

People are working on some firmware so hopefully we'll have some sort of firmware in the future for SG Jam

i suppose the price will drop in a few months like it did for the M18, to sub 50. Then i'll get it, just for the quirk factor.
