My kalimba arrived yesterday (GoKalimba). It is very beautiful, has a bit of weight compared to my hallow kalimba, the body is smooth, no bumps between the transition of wood and epoxy, the tines resonate well but quite soft (won't be able to play this outside or in crowd). I had to tune most of the tines, which was easy to do. I have a fine point marker, I plan to fill the engravings so I can see the notations better without the use of the stickers, to keep it clean looking, I've done this with my other kalimba. Most of all, no dead or stiff tines and the kalimba is authentic with Hluru branding.

How is the sound from the last 2 tines? I know many kalimbas always have problem with the sound on last 2 tines being flat and sounding bad.

The last tines of this kalimba is perfect, but please notice that this is a kalimba from brand HLURU. Some kalimba looks like this but not from HLURU so I’m not sure about them

I still not try Hluru S shape flatboard so I can't come to a conclusion. But if you like a kalimba with loud sound and resonance you can choose Hluru Hollow bottom board kalimba

Hahaha you know, I didn't have long fingernails before I played the kalimba. It took me a long time waiting for it to be the right length for me. Be patient, your nails will grow faster too, there are some tips that are soaking your fingers in warm water will help your nails grow faster. ;)
