DAMN THOSE VOLUMES LOOK NICE!! I actually really like the anime but that box set looks awesome! I’m actually pretty tempted to start the series! But I am currently occupied with Sakamoto Days and started reading the first volume of Kagurabachi, but I do have a question, I have been pretty interested in getting the berserk manga for a while now and I’m curious if I could get your opinion on wether to get the deluxe edition or the normal version, I have set up a pros and cons for each, PROS NORMAL: cool cover arts, they look nice, not toooo pricy and I can give it a chance and see if I like it before spending too much, also I just really like those normal sized manga with nice cover arts CONS NORMAL: VERY hard to find each individual manga, lots of volumes to collect. PROS DELUXE: lesser volumes and it’s all compacted into nice big sized volumes, much easier to collect, and it’s really nice that they’re hard cover, that means they won’t bend easily which I REALLY like, some say they look better than the normal version. CONS DELUXE: I feel like they’re a little bland, very expensive, pretty big. So, I just kinda wanted your opinion on which one I should get? Deluxe or normal? Your kinda a professional so I’d love to get your opinion.

Id go Deluxe 100%. Bigger pages make the art pop and looks better. Pirce wise the Deluxe are about $31 new (at least in the US idk where you are at) So they are around the same price for a whole set as singles and thats IF you can get all the singles for $10 each.

Can anyone tell me why manga from Yen Press and Kodansha is more expensive compared to Viz Media? Especially manga from Yen Press, which is so expensive. I'm not from the US, so I don't know much about this. Can anyone explain it?

The main reason is the general book size. Yen etc are bigger then the average SJ. But the big SJ viz sigs are around the same price anyway. So bigger book = more money
