I believe aside from the so so SoC,a bigger downer in my view is the storage type - UFS 2.2 which is a big NO at this price point,plus its a downgrade from Edge 40 which had UFS 3.1 storage.Perhaps keeping the RAM still as LDDR4X instead of the newer LDDR5 variety was excusable,I dont think the same can be said about the storage which will affect many practical use cases.

The Moto has been a solid device hardware wise but it does have some weird software bugs. Like if the screen goes off while I'm on a call, I have to press the power button to wake the screen. Another one is the status bar clock vanishing and having to keep the device off to get it back. And if you get an internet phone call like from whatsapp while using a streaming app. The caller screen takes a few seconds to show up. Sometimes even crashing the app. I reported the bugs on the Moto forum but the final answer is usually along the lines of "Noted, we may fix it on an update. No promises though."

Apart from those these the other software features more than make up for it. Having the display port out on the usb C port is really handy. Coupled with the desktop mode where you can use your phone as a touchpad works really well. The game mode got an update recently as well.

Using moto phone for quite some time now and I love there Android experience and lots of useful features it comes with and benefits of using stock Android is your phone always perform like champ 🏆 very occasional stutter here and there but much better than other OEM but i always feel like moto need to step up their camera game like Vivo and iqoo and build a solid image pipeline for better photography across all devices❤.

You missed UFS 2.2 and LPDDR4X RAM. They could've have increased the price by 2k for this PRO version and instead went for better hardware which will help in the long run considering INR 30-35k is a lot of hard-earned money.

would love a review of this also, i appreciate the honesty regarding the naming convention because this should have been called the edge 50, not pro because even the edge 30 pro from 2022 came with the snapdragon 8 gen 1, the then flagship i understand moto are saving the 8 gen 3 for the edge 50 ultra, but they could have at least used the 7+gen 3 (as we have seen that the performance gains on it is quite significant when compared to the 7 gen 3).

Edge 50 Pro is a winner in my book! Awesome looks, comfortable in hand, great cameras, 125 W fast charging, great purple color and vegan leather, Pantone tuning on screen and camera colors output, and 3+4 years of updates. This is therefore the best Motorola just now. Would I buy Samsung Galaxy A55 at the same price point? No way, never, Motorola wins hands down in my opinion.
