New Delhi Rajdhani goes to New Delhi Station while August Kranti terminates at Hazrat Nizamuudin itself. another aspect is that the rakes are interchanged each time. the train which goes as Rajdhani comes back as Rajdhani but on next trip, it goes as August Kranti and vice versa for the other train. there are 4 rakes in total for these 2 Rajdhani trains. Reason for this is to balance out the wear and tear on the rakes as NDLS Raj has a greater average speed and less stops as compared to August Kranti Raj.
