Just got my copy, and the paper and build quality of the Korean printing are just phenomenal even in the imitation leather. Of the three editions, this one is by far the best. Double column bottom of page references for the win. God bless

These Lockman editions look fantastic. How do they compare to the Zondervan and TN Premier Collection versions?

GREAT question... I prefer the goatskin on these Lockman editions (it's quite similar to the good stuff from Crossway), but everything else (paper, print quality, typesettings) is pretty even.

​@@timwildsmith Ooh. That sounds super enticing. Thanks for sharing! The Zondervan NRSV in purple goatskin might be my favorite physical Bible that I've used.... ever. That paper, print quality, and type are top tier. But Crossway's leather (especially my Legacy) is fantastic as well.

What do people think of the MSG Bible (The Message)? I have heard mostly bad things about this translation. It apparently does not read anything like the NIV or other modern versions.

Those new offerings from Lockman look great, Tim. I'm looking forward to a full review of that new mid-size Bible. I'm still waiting for Cambridge to publish the Pitt Minion and Clarion in the NASB2020 version. I'm also wondering if Cambridge will offer the Diadem in the NASB2020. Have you heard anything you can share, Tim?

This has alway been my favorite text block for bibles. Most companies use to call them Personal Size Large Print Bible. I really wish this was the 95 but I will settle for the 2020

@@timwildsmith I don't know why more publishers don't make bibles that size. I have a R L Allan ESV Classic Reference that's about in the same range. I think 8.5 length is about the perfect bible size

Does anyone know the difference between the KJV and the NASB? I already have a NIV version. Is there much difference between the NIV and NASB?

Look up the “translation spectrum” and you should fine some good videos and articles about how Bible translations differ.

They look very nice indeed, Tim, and I’m really glad that another publisher has entered the premium publishing world. You said more are coming from Lockman - would one be the Amplified Bible? Hope so. BTW. I know what you mean about the smell. I got a Premier Collection bible this week and the leathery smell is wonderful. Great review. Thx Tim. They’ll look great on your Bible shelf! 😊🙏😻
